Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description
1970 GMC K15. Awesome project truck for sale. This is a hard to find truck. It checks all of the rare hard to find boxes off: short bed, a/c truck, power steering and brakes and it's 4wd. I bought it as a project truck to build then took a new job that moved me away. I won't have time to get to it now for some time and don't want it to just sit. The story on the truck is this: I bought it from the second owner who began a resto about 20 years ago but like so many projects it never got finished. It's been sitting like this since that time. He had (according to him) rebuilt the motor at that time and had someone start on the body work. The positives about the truck are the options. It has all the rare stuff. It also has an extremely solid cab. The driver side cab corner looks like it got crunched at some point and needs to be replaced. The floors are really good for trucks of this year and have no rust through but do have rust, floors aren't perfect but look worse in pictures than they are, but until I were to blast the rust and seams I wouldn't determine wether or not they need patching, I personally would plan on it to be safe. The inner and outer rockers are super solid. Cab supports are good with the exception of the passenger rear support. Fenders look great with no rust, including the passenger side below where the battery sits that usually gets ate up. The core support is also solid, no rust. Inner fenders are solid. Bed is solid but could us some work in the floor area, I would plan on replacing if you want it straight. Tailgate I would replace. Doors look solid but the drivers door has some mud in it and I would probably skin it. No rust in either doors. No rust around either the windshield or rear glass. The majority of trim and small odds and ends are present in boxes, the grille is in the bed and most everything else minus glass which i would replace anyhow. Obviously this is a truck that needs a lot of work and time, bit is overall extremely solid and a great starting point. When finished this is a big money truck, and if you follow these you know how rare this combo is. All of the major stuff is present. It's a 350/350 drivetrain, the man I purchased it from claimed it to be numbers matching, I haven't checked to verify but if that is important to you let me know and I'll check. For any other questions just ask. I am pricing this at what I feel is very reasonable for a project trucklike this in solid condition.
