Chevrolet Corvette 1968 Description
I've added some new pics, as have several requestto see it with the topup and we finally had a sunny day here in Oregon so I actually washed it up too. This is not a project car. It is beautiful! One of those car's you look at and just go WOW! I am the third owner. The odometer is correct, only 34k. The story is the original owner blew up the engine and it sat for a long time.It is not the original block. Rest of the drivetrain is original. The interior is flawless with the exception of a small crack in the console, other than that, perfect. Exterior is beautiful. No chips, scratches, cracks at all. I bought it from my dad and I have owned it for 4 or 5 years now. I paid 35,000 for it. This can be verified by loan docs. The bank loaned me the money after having an appraisal done prior to approval.I have it insured through Grundy Worldwide in the amount of 50k for a total loss. The soft top is new and I have the hardtop for it,(hardtop is missing some mounting hardware and vinyl and some w/sneeds replaced). I also have theoriginal wooden steering wheel.I have put less than a thousand miles on it since I bought it. Partly because I live in Oregon and have never driven it in the rain and I have other vehicles that are also fun to drive. Never hot-rodded. Unemployment has forced me to sell. Tough to live in a Corvette. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.I had this listed previously and ended the listing because I had a local buyer. Miscommunication,he thought it was the original paint from the factory. It is not. I repeat, it is not. The factory color was silver and it was repainted silver. It's almost 50 frigin years old! To avoid a ton of questions, please read the previous answers I gave to many inquiries from the last time listed. But in a nut shell, here is what I know to need work.Brakes are weak and spongy(master cylinder, booster?) don't know. Wipers do not work(could be something as simple as a check valve).High idleupon initial startup, idles down fine after aminute or so. Clutch seems stiff.? No way repairs needed would run you over a grand. ALL gauges work, even the clock. ALL lights work. Car runs and drives like new. Tight. It's a beast, in a good way. Youare getting a steal at the loweredprice or even at the original price listed. Thanks for looking. Bob
