Chevrolet C-10 1966 Description
Up for auction is a 1966 chevy 1/2 ton fleat side 8 foot box un- molested original vintage truck. Has original seat, floor mat, plastic factory radio cover and fuel tank cardboard cover. Is a 6 cyclinder engine with a 3 speed on the tree. Odometer reads 18572. This is a true barn find truck! In 1999 I was doing some work on a farm and could see the front end of this truck in the shadows of the barn it was in. Owner said that her father passed away some years back and the truck has sat there ever sinse. She could not find the key for it to even move it out of the barn. The engine has oil and the radiator is still full.(not stuck) The frame is good shape and the cab and body has the usual rust out areas. We struck a deal and I took the 66 home. Started gathering parts for the truck and found a doner that had solid doors, hood and a tailgate. Bought some rocker pannels, a cab corner and a set of cab mounts. Then found a 4x4 (1979 to mid 80's year?) 1/2 ton chevy with a 350 Rebuildable engine, automatic tranny and a NP 205 transfer case. Stripped the cab and body off to use the 4x4 drive train for the 66 chevy. The frame and chassies has been sitting for about 15 years and is included in this auction. My plans for this restoration provect never got started, so it is time for it all to go to a new owner. I have an Iowa title for the 66 chevy in hand. This truck needs a full restoration and is not driveable. Has been sitting 20 plus years and is all sold as a package deal and as is, where is, with no warrantees. Please call Rick to set up a time for an inspection or questions, at 319-350-098eight.Will need $400 down payment with Pay-pal within 24 hours close of the auction and full payment (cleared) before pick up. Can hold the truck, parts and 4x4 drive train frame and axles, for a few weeks to give the new owner some time for pick up. This 66 truck has not been reastored, and is as it was from the factory. Happy bidding!
