Chevrolet Other Pickups 1956 Description
Before I list every thing about this truck I would like to say this truck can be "driven" anywhere in North America.1956 Chevrolet Truck Original V-8 265 and 4 Speed with Delux Air (heat only) & Chrome.
When I bought this truck, it was a one owner but, had been sitting for the last 20 years. As some of you old truck guys know, A original 1956 V8 truck is quite rare! (the radiator support give it away)! But add deluxe air, chrome and a 4 speed, all original, and this is truly a Gem!!! I went through the truck not to build but to restore and get back on the road as my daily driver. I had the original 265 motor rebuilt .040 over. and this was the motor's first rebuild. As you can see, I put a 4 barrel intake, Ram Horn exhaust manifolds and a newly rebuilt Holley (1965, 6210 which alone is worth $500) for pep. This along with the rebuilt rear-end, and new 373 gears it lets it run with the traffic better. I have the original carb (rebuilt) Manifolds and intake all restored, included with this auction (Seen In Photo). Everything works on this truck but the original AM radio. Its also include! The floors of this truck are solid but the door have rust on their bottoms that I POR 14 and tack welded.. The doors will need restored and all door glass is crack to some extent. . I installed a new master cylinder, new brake hoses and wheels cylinders. Brakes work great. All lights work! All gauges work! Gas tank is still behind the seat. The wood bed had rotted so I replaced with White Oak and used some chrome rails I had lying around. All new shocks, Tires and Steering arms. The body has had one repaint back in the 70's and the truck does have its share of bumps and bruises. Seat is original but recovered and cab has a new rubber mat. I had been running a 2015 set of GMC Denali 20" wheels and tires but took off for this auction. They can be bought with the truck for additional fee ($800) . They really make the truck standout and ad some bling. And yes, the 20" wheels fit and do not rub. See Picture. Please ask questions for I'm sure I forgot something. Have additional photos on request. I put the chrome back bumper on the truck but I still have the original with the dealership name on it, also Included. Clear Arkansas title with matching tag. Miles are correct. ThanksOn May-19-17 at 15:42:07 PDT, seller added the following information:
