Chevrolet Monza 1977 Description
FOR SALE 2.0Conditions with a local shop who had agreed to finish this (est. $10k) have fallen through due to owner/employee issues. I'm taking the car back it seems to my shop where I have no room and time to finish it. Too many other projects, little time, less money and no space. We'd planned to take the car to auction in Jan here in AZ but now I either have to find a new shop, hope "my guy'" can do it at home (we know how that goes) or just move on. Pains me to let it go but with a garage full of MCs to work in there's other needs too. You saw it with a BUY IT NOW of $7500 a few months ago. Today it's market value; you tell me what you'll pay.PREVIOUS LISTING:1977 Monza Mirage. 305 V8. Automatic. Bone stock stuff here. The goal was a restoration not a custom. Minimal changes have been made to the car to keep that going forward. Purchased some years ago and started the 'minor restoration'..like most things it went way deeper. Today the car needs to be completed. The body is extremely sound and rust free. A front corner of the unibody was sectioned on it from a minor crunch. The underside is overly detailed with plenty of powder coat and under coat (not hiding any rust either...) The engine was complete rebuilt by Basko Engins (Gilbert AZ), the Trans by AZ Transmissions. All the suspension gone over and rebuilt. Rear and freshened. All the plastic body parts are here including the chin spoiler. The plastic body molding strips also- a small chip in one, the piece is here somewhere also! Carpet kit is here, all the seats have been professionally restored to oe spec with correct materials. Door hinges repaired and rebushed. Underside is detailed with a ton of powder coating (it's cheap) and much of the hardware is either replace or has been zinc plated. All the glass is here. Lighting and exterior trim, louvers etc all here. (no rear window louvers, sorry) And on,. and on..and on..
Overall the parts to complete this car are about 95% or more here. The work needs to be done. It's been on my rack for over a year without anything being done to it. I hate to see it go but I need the space.
Can't begin to be certain how much $ is invested in this to date. $12...15K maybe? Never saved receipts and don't want to know. Included are two images per the rules, far more images are available via drop box. From the sale ones when I purchased it (some may recall it) to the repairs, parts prep, bodywork, yadayadayada.....they are not in any particular order tho.
Needs: paint, decals, interior assembly, dash covering, final suspension assembly, started up, brake mc fit and bled, assembly..assembly..assembly...my loss is your gain.
Few more thoughts.

More louvers, misc items etc in boxes upstairsOn Jun-06-17 at 16:56:51 PDT, seller added the following information:
Recent work, changes: Now includes the battery and new starter. As well as some plumbing work and confirmation of the in-tank pump working. Plan was to fire it off soon. Need exhaust and proper crank pulley before that can happen as well as belts and cooling system work. *Note: this is a fully pro built engine rebuild in here. Not sure I have the receipt but I'd say it was around $2k? Can't speak to the details, nothing special just a good going through with a new parts as needed. It's a cruiser, not a race car.
