Chevrolet Impala 1958 Description
This car is WAY too much fun for one personand needs to be shared.
now if you are afraid of crowds, then this is NOT for you. Cop Cars get noticed. This car grabs attention, driving down the street plenty of thumbs up, waves from all ages. When you stop expect a conversation, and a crowd.
A couple years ago a friend of mine, painted this extremely solid, straight, 1958 Delray, to replicate a cop car, added some Cuba decals, a light and siren, some dingle balls, couple Mexican blankets... and went cruising .... Then he got his Caddy powered T coupe on the road and sold me this. He has often said he shoulda kept both.
I redid the brakes, new master cylinder, new Fuel pump, new windshield, tune up, made sure everything works as it should. So you don't have to worry about anything but having fun.
NOW, this is not a show car, it is a FUN cruiser, & participate inthe car show and shine scene, cruise the local burger joints, enjoy the OLD SCHOOL COOL. but, you don't need to babysit the paint job, when you park, it is designed to enjoy. Trunk needs a lock all door locks work.
The six cylinder is original, runs ok, but won't catch many speeders anymore, the powerglide is strong and shifts hard and quick ... good tires ... good exhaust .... ready to enjoy ... it is presently plated and driven on weekends.
I am in the same position now as my friend myNomad is now ready to KRUZE, so time to let this FUN car find a new family.
The generator light comes on sometimes, the regulator points stick, I have an alternator and correct brackets with the car .... replace the regulator or install alt. your choice.
This is a very solid car and if wanted could remove the cop car items and go with anice paint job, body work not needed.
Good luck bidding, Stay Safe, HappyKruze ! check out my other items, we are selling a few things now, we lost our shop to fire ... and now I am retiring .
