Chevrolet Nova 1966 Description
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION BID TO WIN, THERE ARE OVER 80 DETAILED PICTURES WAIT FOR THEM TO LOAD. THANKS!
You are bidding on a true example of a 9 second ¼ mile Pro-Street a 1966 Nova 2 Door Hardtop. To say this car is one-of-a-kind would be an understatement. Hours upon hours were spent to make this monster into what it is. To start off the body is flawless not an ounce of rust anywhere, no patch panels that I am aware of. The paint is near perfect with a show room shine, no waves, no bondo, just astonishing. The underneath is just as nice with ladder bar set up with cross over and coil overs. The underneath was completely painted the same color as the car. The car is ALL STEEL even the hood and trunk. No fiberglass what so ever, this is a street car and was built as such. Car has the bumpers molded into the body and it looks amazing no lines are seen. A custom license plate inset was fabricated in the trunk lid, along with a custom wing and parachute incase you cant stop at that red light.
The engine was over 20k to build I was told, it started out as a 400 block completely machined and balanced into a 406 long rod. Pro-billet crank, ARP studs, splayed 4-bolt caps, Eagle 4340 Forged Rods, J&E pistons 11 ½ to 1 so it runs off 93. Melling high volume oil pump. Iron eagle heads with extensive port work, 2:06 ss valves, full roller valve train with .638 lift camshaft. Tunnel ram with dual 600 CFM carbs. Hooker super comp headers with 2†pipes down to the new 3†exhaust, this thing sounds like a monster which it is. The engine is rated to 8500 RPM, and was dyno tuned to put down 786 horse to the rear wheels with it detuned for the street. The engine was custom fabricated 20% back into the car to distribute the weight properly. The engine bay is astonishing with so muchdetail, a custom molded radiator support, polishedaluminum and chrome everywhere.
The Trans is completely bullet-proof, Turbo 400 all billet internals, Reverse Manual Valve body with trans brake, 3800 stall, trans cooler, shift like butter but is there when the power starts kicking in.
Rear is a Ford 9†with 4:88 gear, full coil over suspension as mentioned earlier. Moser 35 Spline axles. Richmond full posi-trac and gear seat up.
Cooling this monster is a custom aluminum 4 core radiator with electric fans and high volume water pump never has gotten over 195 on me even in stop and go traffic.
Interior is nicely done with all Autometer gauges, racing buckets with seat beats and a 10 point roll cage with swing out bar for easy in and out. New carpet was just installed and its ready for the shows. Everything is glass, remember it is a street car and is set up as such. All the windows roll up and down nicely.
Suspension was completely redone, with 4 wheel disc brakes, competition engineering shocks, rack and pinion set up in the front with flaming river quick ratio steering box.
Trunk is nicely done also painted to match the car with a 20 gallon aluminum fuel cell. It locks into place for the shows so you can easily leave it open as well.
Wheels and tires are Convo Pros with 21 ½ wide tires on the rear and 33x215x15 on the front.
The entire drivetrain and car only have 1100 street miles in it, its extremely radical but isn’t to much to handle on the street. If you have been looking for that car to really stand out and grab attention wherever you go this is it. I could go on forever about so many of the custom and attention to detail this car has had done but take a look at the 80 detailed pictures and be the judge. Remember this is a 9 second ¼ street car it has an extreme amount of power so its not to be taken lightly. There was countless hours and money invested into making this car what it is, the engine alone would run you well over $15,000 to build. Any questions call Frank at 863-381-4954 or to schedule an appointment to come look at the car. Car is sold AS-IS and I have a clear Florida title and I can promise you my cars are as advertised. You can look at my feedback I am very honest. I am a private collector and am just looking to downsize my collection. Remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so the high bidder will take this true muscle car and American icon home. Payment is due within 7 days on auction ending no exceptions unless prior arrangements have been made. Please do all inspections and have all funds in order prior to auction ending, thank you!
