Chevrolet Camaro 1968 Description
First generation Camaro's hold a special place in a lot pf people's memory banks. Who hasn't at least though about what it would be like to own one of these? This one is all there, fresh off of the rotisserie restoration process with new body panels all over. The roof skin, floor pans, trunk, inner and outer tail, deck lid, quarters, fenders, inner fenders, body mounts, and hood have all been replaced and the firewall has been flattened for a nice clean look under the hood. Basically, the gas cap, rear view mirror, and dash have all been surrounded by new parts coated with a 3 stage base coat/clear coat paint job. The SS stripe is painted as well, no vinyl here. Detroit speed headlight motors hide the lights when they are off. All of the stainless trim around the car has been reworked or replaced as well as the bumpers. The interior is all new as well with white leather seats surrounded by black carpet, doors, and dash. The drive train is just as immaculate as the rest of the car. A 402 big block has been fully dressed up with chrome and polished parts, double roller timing chain, and a medium cam. Some of those polished parts consist of the March serpentine pulley system, alternator, a/c compressor, power steering pump, oil pan, ceramic coated headers, intake manifold, valve covers, Holley 600 carburetor, air cleaner, and 3 core radiator. The brake booster and master cylinder are also chrome, pushing disc brakes on all 4 corners. This powerful Chevy V8 is mated to a Tremec 5 Speed manual transmission and 12 bolt rear end housing 4:11 locking positraction rear gears. The Camaro connects with the ground with 69 Z/28 rear springs, tubular control arms, new ball joints, tie rod ends, and bushings all around. Brand new 215/45R17 and 245/45R17 BF Goodrich tires wrapped around Boyd Coddington 17 inch aluminum rims are the perfect finishing touch to a car that already looks stellar. All of this, and I am sure I still left something out. It is a must see car for anyone looking for a first gen and has less than 100 miles on it since being completed. Financing is available, lets get this SS in your garage!
