Chevrolet Camaro 1979 Description

This auction is for a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 coupe. It belongs to a good friend of mine who asked if I could list it for him. When he purchased it he had plans of doing a full restoration on the car. He has done many Corvettes and Camaros over the years . Recently he has had some serious health issues that are hampering him from doing this car. So he has asked me to oversee the sale. I will describe it to you as best I can and if you need more indepth information just give a call and I will be happy to go over the vehicle with you. I was told the vehicle was always a Florida car until it came to Maine a few years back. Even being here it was stored inside out of the elements. The car has the original matching numbers 350 V-8 with auto trans ( that has been rebuilt) p, pb, ac,( needs chargeing) tilt steering wheel, after market am fm cassette, stock carmine vinyl interior . The car runs great and actually drives decent. He spent some time on the brakes replaceing wheel cylinder, hoses, calipers, and master brake cylinder, brake pedal is still very low but will stop you . We finally figured out the booster is bad and needs replacement. He installed a new headliner, replaced the original carb with a new one (original one will be included) replaced the tilt column with a good one ( original one will be included) and purchased the correct gold colored turbine Z-28 wheels. Also new lug nuts but no center caps. The body on the car is decent but does have some arears that need addressing. There is a rust hole on the windshield pillar left side. There is a rot spot on the far corner of the dash left side small area quite fixable . There is a small rust hole on right side lower front corner just in front of the fender flare very minor. Bottom of both front fenders have a rust spot right side minor left side a little more. The rear apron behind the fuel tank that is always a problem has a repair and is not much to replace it. The underside of the car floors and frame all the way to the trunk are very solid. I did see a small welded patch on the left side rear floor pan looks like a nice job that you could grind down the weld and can conseal it quite easily. Paint is lously stripes are peeling . Sorry to be so indepth but want you to know what your getting. This is still a great platform to work with. Doors open and close nicely. Key locks work. It does have a cracked windshield on passenger side. WE ARE LISTING THIS CAR AT NO RESERVE WHICH MEANS HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THE CAR. IF YOU NEED TO SEE THE CAR OR HEAR IT RUN BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THEN BY ALL MEANS COME CHECK IT OUT FIRST. DONT BID BUY AND THEN WANT TO SEE BEFORE PAYING FOR IT. WE HAVE A CLEAR MAINE REGISTRATION FOR PROPER TRANSFER PAPER WORK. WE REQUIRE A $500 DOLLAR NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AT CLOSE OF AUCTION AND BALANCE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF AUCTIONS END.
