Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport LS5-Turbo 400

This car is finished in its correct Green Mist Metallic paint with correct Green Interior.

This car has received a complete Frame Off nut and bolt restoration and it shows.

I am selling this car for a long time friend, who is thinning out his small collection and with that said there will be trades.

Body

The body on this car is Lazer straight.

Panel heights and gaps are perfect and way nicer than factory.

Paint

Paint is excellent with no signs of scratches, nicks or chips, and there is also no signs of touch ups.

Metallic is even and uniformed and clear has been sanded and buffed to perfection.

Exterior

In regards to the Vinyl Top and Mouldings to the Bumpers,Grille,Emblems to the Glass and Weather Stripping its all Flawless.

Car retains all 4 T3 headlights and its obvious the car has only been driven locally to insure everything is working properly.

Interior

Excellent and Correct are the two words that come to mind when opening the doors,Show Room condition.

Underbody

Underneath you will find floor pans that have been completely blasted and recovered in correct sheen black,

Inspection of the frame yields the same results.

The car was born a non-posi which was swapped out for a posi unit that is dated a couple months after the production date of the car.

The Rear Axle,Control Arms and entire front suspension were all blasted and covered with correct paints.

All new Springs,Shocks,Bushings and correct Nuts,Bolts and Retainers were installed.

From the gas tank to the brake lines and hoses including the clamps are all correct on this car.

Engine Bay

Here you will find a firewall and inner fenders that have also been blasted and recovered correctly.

Sitting in the center is the Legendary Matching numbers LS5 with Partial vin and Assembly date and code(I was unable to photograph this due to where the car is stored and there were no tools available.(serious bidders,I will photograph)

GM of Canada paperwork states this car was born a 396-350HP Z25 option.

This is untrue,Car was sold locally at Elm Chevrolet in Elmira NY and has resided here its entire life.

Car is Gauranteed not a restamp. This is actually an error in paper work from non-stringent accuracy at the time.

We have paperwork from GM of Canada stating the Accuracy and Qualitymay vary considerably and that some information may be missing.

These are the words of the famous George Zapora.(enclosed is the letter from him).

The current owner has owned the car over 30yrs.

All of the engine compartments siblings such as Exhaust Manifolds,Water Pump and Distributor etc are original to the car.

The Starter and Carburetor were the only two items that had to be sourced.

The car still retains its original LS5 Turbo 400.

Overall

With exception to the rear axle this car is all matching numbers, date codes and casting codes and dates.

From the T3 headlights to the rear bumper cover this is a true #1 condition car.

Car has been driven approximately 20 miles locally to ensure everything was in order, but is truly a Trailer car worthy of National Level shows.

This was a meticulous, slow and patient 20yr Restoration.

Inspections are not only welcomed but encouraged,You wil not be wasting your time or money.Thereare no disappointments.
