Chevrolet Other 1952 Description
For your consideration........... VERY LOW RESERVE. (Selling for a friend). One really cool rare 1952 Chevrolet Tin Woody. Only12756 produced. Who knows how many still exist? If your looking for a Project/Restoration this may be for you. This Tin Woody was on the road for 30 years having only what is believed to be 29988 original miles (10000 per year??) and has been in dry storage for the last 33 years. Last registered in 1982 still have the old plates.Originally a 216 6 cyl with the "Three on the Tree". Unfortunately the engine is long gone. Plans were made to drop a small block 350 in it with a different transmission. NO modifications were ever made after engine wasremoved. The front clip was removed and inspected for rust. The front inner wheel wells are in near mint condition as are the fenders. All the glass is there......... the windshield looks perfect surrounded by very nice stainless steel. The driver's window is cracked but it's flat glass and easily replaceable. All three seats are there and need a little help as there are a few tears. The floor boards do have a couple of rust spots and need to be patched or a new floor panto have it done right. There is rust in front of each of the rear wheel wells and a small patch on the driver's rear fender. The head headliner has one hole about the size of a half dollar and two places where it's separated at the seamsan easy fix. This '52 had one repaint over 33 years ago. Original color was Root Beer Brown and Beige. Pics taken with a cheap cell phone. Will try to post better ones during the week.Other than the rust and tears in the seat it's a very solid rig. Light sanding was started and that's as far as the restoration went. Every piece of chrome stainless and emblems should all be there. All lights and brackets are there. One lens which goes above the rear bumper is broken. The front and rear bumpers are straight and also come with bumper guards (need to be re-chromed). All the interior wood is there. The wooden headliner bows are very nice. The pics don't show all the interior door handles and window cranks but they are there. The tailgate is in nice condition.......... not all rusted out. Some pics show the front clip off but has since been bolted back on as shown in the first pic. Front pass.door has a crease as shown in pic. All doors open and close nice and tight. No sagging door hinges. With a little time and money someone will be the proud owner of one rare classic that's destined to be a real head turner. We all know what these Tin Woodies are worth. If you have the talent and skills you could restore to keep or"flip" it for a MAJOR profit..................!I've described this listing as honestly and to the best of my ability.
