Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955 Description
You are bidding on 1955 210 post. This car is the perfect combination of power and style which makes it one of the most highly sought after classic cars today. If you are looking for an antique car you can stop reading now this is not your car. The car has been up-graded with power steering disc brakes vintage heat and air March serpentine belt system Sanderson coated headers a Griffin radiator Flaming River SS tilt steering column Saginaw 4 speed transmission and a 406 CI Small Block Chevy engine. When I purchased the car I was looking for a project for my automotive classes at college. While the car was in good mechanical condition the body needed to be restored. I stripped the body down to bare metal (see pictures) replaced two floor pans one rocker panel driver’s side rear panel and eyelids over the headlights. Any rust issues were cut out and replaced with new metal. (pictures) The car was painted with DuPont base coat/clear coat. The car’s interior has been upgraded to include new carpet and new headliner. As you view the pictures you will see this is not how you find most 55’s today.
I am retired and need to spend more time with the family rather than at car shows. I have more invested in this car than I will ever get out of it which is typical for most classic car owners. The car has been kept in climate controlled garage with very few rain drops have hit this car. It has been “babied”. I don’t want to mislead you the car is not a Barret Jackson’s quality it is a strong 3 out of a possible 5. The reserve reflects that and is very reasonable. If you have always wanted a 55 Chevy this is your chance to buy one that has been completely restored mechanically/body/ interior. I have over 30 pictures of the car in different phases of restoration. I have pictures of the car in etching primer gray primer and being painted with base coat/ and clear coat. If you would like to have more pictures send me your e-mail.
The clock radio and horn do not work. All minor issues just wasn’t a high priority for me.
I do not have a “Buy it Now” price. The reserve is low enough that this car will go to highest bidder.
I encourage you to come see the car drive the car ask any questions but know that if you win the bid the car is yours. There is no warranty no guarantee.
