Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description

This is a very honest, straight forward 1970 Chenille Malibu. It is a 350 with a 350 automatic transmission. I daily drove this car for 2 summers before parking it where it has sat for two years. I am selling this as a running driving car however I have not had it on the road in a while. I will get it running before the buyer takes possession of the car but I'm not buying plugs and a battery before I know someone is committed to buy the car. This car has been super reliable to me and I hate to let her go but she is not getting use and it deserves to be finished and on the road, and I do not have the money to properly finish her. Mileage is what is on title, odometer could have rolled over but I do not know because Its a new to me odometer unit from a friends car. This car only has rust in one spot, shown in pictures, the cowl panel where the windshield wipers mount. I could not find a donor part and a reproduction part was not yet made when I had the body work done. The part only costs $370 and install is simple for a body shop. Other than that, the car is a brand new shell with a rebuilt motor that just needs your personal touches on it like paint, wheels and tires and it is a finished car. I have a full interior kit, most of which has not been installed (need a professional for the headliner). Its from Year One and factory black style. I have all the trim and many pieces not on the car in the pictures, I don't see a point in putting it on and risking taking it off when it goes in for paint, so the trim has remained off until its finished and painted. I have the flapper door for the cowl induction hood and the logo and trim, its a real original steel cowl hood given to me by a friend off his car. What has been done:full floor pan - one piece welded in factory spotsfull trunk floor pan - one piece welded in factory spotstrunk lid - bought off a cop from his 70 chevelle, I have the original toocowl induction hood (i have flapper door, not pictured) - given to me from a friend off his 70 SS carfull quarters - original vin #s in factory spotwheel wells, front and rearfront fenderspassenger doorinner and outer rockersnew griffin race radiator - supports 925 hp, out of a friends chevellenew tilt column (original rebuilt chevy column bought from column rebuilding specialist)power brake upgrade for drum brakes - this car STOPSnew super fast ratio steering gearbox (less turns end to end to turn car)grant steering wheelcustom autosound brand speakers and stereo (factory look with iPod integration, usb port, auxiliary cable input etc hidden and built in)bucket seats (car came with bench) - bought off cop with trunk lidfull interior (bought a full kit, headliner and detail pieces not installed) - all parts not installed come with the carseats recovered and new seat foam installed2 sets of wheels, one are rally wheels from my uncles 71 chevelle and the other centerline wheels came with the car, needs tiresbody mounts replaced during rust repairsummit racing 2.5" dual exhaustnew gas tank and fuel sending unitnew starterLike I said, nbsp;this car was daily driven for two summers, the engine is solid. As you can see all the rust repair is DONE minus the cowl panel, this car is ready for paint. My trip to the body shop for the rust repair totaled $28, 00 with parts and labor. I have pictures documenting the rust repair, it was done by a very talented body guy who does movie cars in RI. Like I said this car is honest, try and find a car for this price that has no rust and body filler throughout it, Ive done the work for you. When you start getting into these old cars, no matter how they look you start finding rust somewhere, this car is very fairly priced for having someone go through, discover and fix the rust issues. Car is primed over bare metal, it hides nothing.Issues with car:Like I said, the cowl panel needs to be replaced. This car has not run for two years but I will have help from my mechanic buddy to have it back to road worthy. I would say you could drive it home but the tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced. If you live local, then come pick up the tires and title, pay for the car, throw new tires on it and get plates and registration, and drive it home. Interior needs to be finished, I put the seat covers on but did not fully secure them at the bottom, take it to a real interior guy to have them finished. There is surface rust on the trunk lid, I also have the original but that has actual rust damage, not surface rust. The shocks were replaced when I bought the car, but after sitting they may need to be replaced as well. Pretty much everything that needs work is a result of the car sitting but like I said, it was a reliable summer daily driver.Price is firm, the car has a lot of work into it and is in a great spot for you to spend little money in it and have a classic car built just the way you want it, while avoiding all the major restoration. Just paint and finishing touches and your cruising. You can find painted cars for this price, but whats hiding under the paint? Is the car finished the way YOU would like it done? This is your chance for a blank slate to build a car just how you would like it, I see no other Chevelles available on eBay like that. You will figure out shipping and transportation of this car, it is not registered and has no plates. Im not driving it anywhere, pick it up with cash in hand and if you would like to take the title and rims, you can go get new tires mounted (tire shop around the corner from my house) and drive it away. No warranty at all, car sold as is, its a straight honest car, nbsp;I've given you all the details and have receipts and photos to back it up. If your looking at this car, nbsp;I'm sure you know what you're getting into, open that wallet up. If you want a cheap car, buy a Toyota. Ask any questions, ill do my best to take pictures, but a picture only shows so much. I expect a serious buyer to look this car over. I will ship this car if you arrange to have it picked up but thats it, Im hoping for someone to come in person and get it.
