Chevrolet Nomad 1960 Description

Very rare Chevrolet Noma, riginally equipped with a 348 cui big block motor from the factory.

Built in Los Angeles, nd incrdibly enough still has the original paint and interior! This is a rare piece of car history. Rolled out of the factory dressed in a Ermine White paintjob with a niceTurquoise upholstery. PS, B, inted windows, ower back window, added dash. These wagons truly had class, nd as in this case. HORSEPOWER and TORQUE! Not many of these wagons had the powerful big block engine, nd that is what makes this Nomad a true collectors item.

The wagon has not been in traffic since the 80's, nd does not have many miles on it. It still has the iconic California black plates and of course a clear CA title.

This wagon has the sunburnt California patina everybody wants, t's complete and a very good foundation for astock restoration, at rod with patina or could be a very unique high end custom, reat PR vehicle for a shop etc. Straight, olid body that need some love, ith usual rust in the floor pans. Rocker panels, ody mounts, uarter panels and bottom of the doors are all very solid. Solid frame. All the unique Nomad trim is there, s well as all interior pieces and glass, xcept the back window. The Nomad wagons had the same options as the Impala, nd are not at all to be compared with the cheaper Parkwood and Brookwood wagons. The Nomad is sold with a 1965 Chevrolet 283 cui engine, hat turns freely but is not running. Also comes with a Powerglide transmission of unknown condition. It has the unique fan shroud that only came with the 348 cui engines, nd the original drive shaft as well as the power steering pump.
