Chevrolet Corvette 1990 Description
This was our first Corvette, which we purchased in 1998. I had looked at several used Corvettes but the common colors like black, red, and white just didn't do it for me. When I called Reedman's in Langhorne and asked if they had any used Corvettes, the guy said "We just got one in, but it's green" so I said "I'll be right up!" As it turns out, it is really more like teal, although the official name is Turquoise Metallic. I'm a sucker for metallic colors, and this is a beautiful and uncommon color. According to the dealer, it had just been traded in by Big Marty, of the local carpet company fame.Even with power steering, the car drives nice and tight with excellent road feel. It's amazingly quiet for a 26 year old convertible. It accelerates quickly, corners well, and can stop on a dime. It feels like a car much younger than its vintage, and when you hit the gas pedal, it GOES!
The seats are the Recaro sport style, so they hold you snugly. The automatic transmission is tight and quick; it shifts smoothly and quietly at any speed. The air conditioning works great. The headlights pop up quickly when needed and hide away just as quickly. The digital display looks great and works flawlessly. The power windows are surprisingly fast. Amenities like powered and heated outside mirrors and lighted vanity mirrors add icing to the cake.
The car is basically stock except for the top and the tires. The original convertible top was vinyl, which began to look worn, and the back window, which is flexible plastic, was clouded. The new top is the same color, but it's cloth and the window is new and clear. It is very easy to manage, and goes up quickly if needed to keep out the raindrops. The Fuzion tires probably have less than 2000 miles on them, and they look great. The car has a current PA state inspection (full standard, not classic or antique).
The electric antenna is a bit balky but it can be coaxed manually. The inflatable restraint is ok but the light comes on. Otherwise, the car's electrical system is perfect. There is a slight coolant leak.

- service manual for 1990 Corvette
We are mature owners who have never raced, abused, or smoked in this car. We don't really want to see our first Corvette go, but we're downsizing now and need to trim the herd a bit. So we're hoping someone interested in this vintage can give it a new home and enjoy it as much as we have.
