Chevrolet Impala 1962 Description
IF YOU HAVE 15 OR LESS FEEDBACK, ALL ME FIRST BEFORE YOU BID OR YOUR BID WILL BE RETRACTED/DELETED.
Up for bidding is an original, on-modified or cut-up, 2 chevy Biscayne, -dr sedan, ith 82,400 original miles. This vehicle is about as stripped as you can get andthere are no options. This is how it was ordered by the original owners. 235 6-cyl, -speed manual trans on the column, adio delete, o p/s or brakes, as not ordered with the drivers side rear view mirror, r the rear passenger arm rests and no ash trays.
I purchased this vehicle from the original owners youngest son, 73 yrs old). Vehicle was purchased new in Independence, ansas. Original owner (Father), assed on and vehicle went to the Los Angeles area with the oldest Son in 1990. He passed and the vehicle was transported to San Jose, a around 2012 as the youngest Brother took ownership. He was going to restore but realized it was a big project, lus his health was not good, herefore, ecided to let it go.
The car still retains the original paint (Twilight Turquoise) with surface rust. The interior is still original but needs restoring. The dash is in nice shape and un-cut. All the original glass is in good condition. Both wing windows have minor bubbling and the rear window has some etching in the middle. Original chrome bumpers are nice as is the front grill. Dog-dish hubcaps are fair to good, he body is decent with small dings and dents and some scratches. there is some minor bubbling at the lower right front passenger fender. The drivers floorboard is bad as is the drivers rear passenger area, assenger front is better and rear passenger floor is solid as is under the rear seat and trunk area. I have a complete OEM replacement floor pans for the areas in question. The frame and firewall appear to be solid. The vehicle still retains the original spare tire jack assembly as well. The car runs and shifts very well, ewer brakes but could use an adjustment. The emergency brake pedal goes to the floor but does not hold, robably an adjustment. The car has newer tires and a complete exhaust system. All gauges work as do all the lights except the dome, robably the bulb.Turn signals work as does the horn and cigarette lighter.
The car needs basically cosmetic and interior work. Car has a clear title in my name and is on a "California non-op status". Shipping and/or towing is the responsibility of new owner should vehicle sell. I accept Paypal for a non-refundable depositof $500.00 and must be received within 24 hours at the close of auction. balance can be made with cash in person, ashier's check and/or amoney order. I set a reasonable reserve based on overall condition of vehicle. Any questions either e-mail or call (408) 448-1717. This is a cool old school nostalgia vehicle, o be different. Not many 4-dr sedans leftin running condition. Good luck.
