Chevrolet Other Pickups 1946 Description
For sale here is a very nice 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. This cool art-deco style truck looks very good, s very solid, nd runs well. It has a rebuilt 235 straight 6 cylinder. Good brakes. The previous owner had a 235 from a '54 rebuilt. Its a better engine than a 216. The body is very good, s is the underside. The paint does shine up well. The wood bed is very solid and usable. Decent chrome and stainless. Nice glass. Almost new tires on very cool rims. The correct '46 Chevy truck hubcaps are in good shape and really set the look off. This '46 has a working crank-out front windshield and a working hood vent. In fact, early everything I've tried on this truck works. The following items all work: horn, hoke, auges (temp, uel, battery, oil, peedo), potlight, ipers, indows, ome light, rank out windshield, owl-hood vent, adio, teering column flashlight, and e-brake, aillights, eadlights, eater and defroster (heater/defroster blow but hoses not hooked up). There is one very small paint bubble along the passenger's door bottom area. The truck does run well and rides pretty comfortably. The seat is comfortable and the truck is not noisy.
The interior looks to be pretty much all original and in great shape. The cab floor is in great shape. The doors open easily and shut solidly. The windows crank up and down good. Very good tailgate. Its a very fun truck to drive around town. I've driven the truck quite a few times this summer, ruising about town. I haven't driven on the interstate with it. This one always starts right up. I get a lot of looks and people pointing when driving to the hardware store and back.
Overall, his is a very good 1946 Chevy truck that can be enjoyed right away. Its perfect for doing errands and hauling things around the neighborhood. Please feel free to ask questions. Sold in as-is condition. Inspection is available.
