Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1981 Description
1981 Monte Carlo Turbo. One of 3,097 built in 1981. Car originally had a 3.8 liter turbo but that has been replaced with a small block 350 according to the previous owner. The car is showing 98,000 on the odometer and I believe this to be correct considering the condition of the car. The motor was swapped and has fewer miles though I do not know exactly how many. The car runs and drives well and has very little rust, only a small amount behind the rear wheels. The car has been repainted and the paint is showing its age with the clear peeling in many places. The T-tops are in good shape and do not seem to leak. The front and rear bumpers have been replaced with those from a SS Monte Carlo and the front bumper could use some work. It has Chevrolet rally wheels on the front and wide chrome mags on the rear with good tires. The interior is also in great shape. The dash has some cracking but the seats have no tears in them. The driver side power seat does not work correctly, the motor works but my guess is the plastic coupling has snapped. The ignition switch is also bad and was bypassed by the previous owner so the car can be started without a key. This is probably the worst thing on the whole car. The speedo and fuel gauge work, but the clock and other gauges do not appear to. All the exterior lights are also in good working order. Overall this is an extremely solid and somewhat rare car that runs and drives well. It would be excellent to restore or really to do about anything to as its an extremely solid foundation for any kind of project. I'm open to offers on the car. This car is being sold as is with no warranty or any guarantees. This car is over 20 years old and most of the mechanical information I have is from the previous owner. I can make no promises regarding the car or its condition. I have tried to describe the car as accurately as possible. Any inspections of the car need to be done before purchasing. If you have less than 10 feedback message me before sending an offer. If you do not your offer will be immediately rejected. A deposit of $500 dollars will be due within 48 hours of it being sold. Thank you.
