Chevrolet El Camino 1960 Description

Up for bids is this 1960 El Camino project. The truck runs and drives but will need a full restoration. As you will see in the pictures. it has a fair amount of rust but is worthy of being brought back. It runs and drives but is not roadworthy yet. A lot cheaper to transport than a non-runner. The truck is located in Portland Oregon 97218. Clean and clear Oregon title. I have 50 photos below. look for my text descriptions that accompany the photos. This car is selling at No Reserve. Please ask questions before bidding and be ready to buy if you're the high bidder. let's no waste either one's time. $500 deposit via paypal within 24hrs and balance due within one week. I can help with shipping arrangements. Thanks for looking. email with any questions. Pretty straight body except for the driver's fender. A good replacement is included. Windshield has 2 chips and a crack. needs to be replaced. The back glass is good. Side windows are original and are useable. The roof is in good shape. most of these early El Camino roofs rusted at the edges and beneath the overhang. this one looks good in those areas. Not sure what happened here. I'm guessing something stupid. As I've said. a good fender is included. The bed is going to need a lot of work. Paint code 903A is "Cascade Green". the light green color you see on the tag and showing from beneath the darker green paint. The engine block suffix "GF" decodes to a 1967 283ci with Powerglide. Here's the replacement fender. Floor pans have been replaced. Still more work to do. Radio delete blanking plate is in place. Windows all wind smoothly. No key. The ignition switches from this era will turn without one unless it's in the lock position. The motor starts easily and runs surprisingly well. I have not taken the truck out on the road. only around my yard. I would recommend going through the brakes beforehand. The tranny is leaking quite a bit of fluid from the torque converter but does shift smoothly into drive and reverse. and holds in park. The arms on my lift wouldn't reach far enough in to mount the frame. hence the wood. The support on the diff was because I didn't completely trust the 2x4. The truck's suspension seems to be in pretty good shape. Fuel tank has been cleaned. Frame appears sound.
