Chevrolet Other Pickups 1955 Description
I am selling a 1955 Chevy Pickup. nbsp;First Series. For anyone serious about rebuilding a 55 pickup this truck is for you!! This truck is almost original. At some point it was converted from 6volts to 12volts. but I still have the original 6v gauges. I have completely dismantled the truck down to the frame. All the pieces are in good shape with very few dings and areas to repair. The cab has some rust and will need more attention than the rest but is restorable. Before it was taken apart it was in drivable condition. The original 235 I6 engine runs very well. The manual 4speed trans also shifts very well. I have done the hardwork by taking the truck apart. its now up to the next owner to start the fun part by either restoring it to its original beauty or creating that HotRod you've been dreaming about. The 55 First Series Pickup was the shortest production run of any chevy pickup in its history. just 3 months. which makes it one of the rarest models. As far as I can tell from its history I am the 4th owner of the truck. The 3rd owner had it only for a couple of years and kept it stored in a warehouse. I also believe the truck has only been registered in Georgia and it comes with a valid Title. I can send many pics for anyone seriously interested and more detailed info. The photos above are of the truck in my shop just before I took it apart down to the frame. Please feel free to email about any questions before the end of the bidding. Thanks for looking. On Apr-04-15 at 20:49:07 PDT. seller added the following information:I have added additional photos. I tried to show as many of the individual parts as well as the condition of the cab. The truck's original color is chevy blue. I think at some point in the 70's it was painted inside and out the yellow color shown in the pics. Please note that many parts have been sanded and primed with a temporary black primer. This truck is sold in As Is condition.
