Chevrolet El Camino 1981 Description
This is an El Camino that I purchased as a project back in November of 2014. Long story short, the truck didn't run well when I bought it and I spent a lot of money attempting to get the truck to run correctly to no avail. I purchased a lot of new parts for the truck but most of them have been removed. The truck still has a new master cylinder, new front brake rotors and new front brake pads. The truck is in fair overall condition. You could install your drivetrain and drive it as-is or you could restore it, it's all up to you! The original engine and transmission are actually still in the truck, but they'd both need to be rebuilt. But not many people would rebuild a 229 Chevy V6. The truck's body has a few dents and dings. The truck is mostly solid, but it does have some rust in the floor pans. Fortunately, the only rust on the truck is in the floor pans and majority of the floor is solid. The steering column will need to be rebuilt or replaced, it's busted. The truck does not have any wheels on it, it is currently sitting in my garage on jack stands waiting on a new owner. This El Camino has a clean Georgia title. If you would like to purchase this truck then you will need to bring a set of wheels, a car hauler, and some cash money. I am asking $1,200 and the price is completely non-negotiable. We all have bought a project and gotten in over our heads and that's exactly what happened here! I am losing money in the quadruple digits selling this truck at the fairest price possible.
If you live out-of-state I am willing to buy a set of wheels and ship this car to you if you're willing to pay an additional $100 for a set of wheels and arrange and fund your own transport.
I'd like to sell this truck as soon as possible so I can add the money to my budget for my next project. If you're interested contact me at four zero four seven six nine one four nine five. Thanks!
