Chevrolet Other Pickups 1951 Description

1951 Chevrolet 5 Window “Rusty Bud” Budweiser Rat Hot Resto Rod. This truck was professionally built and it’s AWESOME! If you like attention and getting to talk with people every time you stop, or love the sound of cars, trucks, and Semi’s honking and every one giving you the thumbs up as they roll up next to you and stare at all the detail on this truck, then this bad boy is right for you. It cruises at 65MPH with a lot of peddle left. Drives straight and easy, not one of those you have to fight and wrangle between the lines. I can easily hold and drink a coke going down the highway. And yes I have driven plenty of those that you are white knuckling every time a car approaches or a bump in the asphalt sends you swaying back and forth between the lines…NOT this one, it is an easy cruiser. I freaking love driving it and watching the people in the brand new corvettes, BMW’s, even a Tesla rolled up next to me yesterday and held up traffic (I was turning left, and he was stopped in the going straight lane) to rubber neck this truck. The Patina is amazing, and I’ve never seen one done with this much character. The Budweiser signs on the side were patina’d perfectly and match the amazing attention to detail this whole truck has.

Now let’s be honest if you are looking at this truck you know what it is, no it’s not new and yes it has flaws, but that’s what makes these trucks so unique and desirable. I had plans to change a few things, but decided to put it here 1st so I don’t waste time and money changing things that the new owner might not want or like to do different. I don’t like these door latches, and I would put Bear Claws on it, but some people don’t like the “firmness” and un-original feeling of them so the next owner can decide. I LOVE air ride, but I know a lot of guys that absolutely HATE it. It does have the IFS and rear is lowered with a lowering block.

NEW (less than 200 miles) Crate 350 with 4 barrel Holley and a mild cam. Has that lope idle sound. Way cool!

NEW (less than 200 miles) Turbo 400 Transmission shifts great

A/C that blows ice cold

Interior is amazing and comfortable seat, not one of those bricks that your butt goes to sleep as you drive.

Lights all work even in the original gauges (but original gauges do not work). Two gauges on underside of dash are Temp and Oil pressure that do read correctly.

I'm positive I have forgotten things, especially with all the truck has to offer. So if you have questions or want certain pictures please ask and I will get them to you.
