Chevrolet Camaro 1985 Description
Where do I start? Bought this vehicle about one year ago to be a daily driver for my son, well I have replaced just about everything at this point and both my son and I are out of steam on this enterprise. It is now running and driving as it should, I have put in a brand new remanufactured engine, as the original one was so sludged up it blocked at least two major oil galleries. New engine has been run for an hour before driving it and now i have put about 150 miles on the new engine. Have gone to 3200 rpm so far and runs perfect. Transmission shifts smoothly and flawlessly. Using it as a grocery getter/ Saturday night cruiser, so mileage will go up a bit. New hoses (all of them) plugs, wires, cap, rotor, transmission fluid, antifreeze, engine oil has 150 miles on it. New set of Cooper Cobra radial G/T 215/75R/14 on the original rims. New caliper and pads on the front as well as the brake lines. Rear end was removed and powder coated, replaced all seals, new differential fluid, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines, rear shocks, park brake cables. Master cylinder is also new. The interior is in excellent condition, the headliner is new. Some sun bleaching on top of the back seats. The exhaust was replaced at some point, and is rock solid, I did replace the catalytic converter as the old one's heat shield was loose and rattled. New door window seals are installed, the rest of the seals are in great shape. There is a spare tire and jack in the "trunk" in pristine condition. The cruise control works. All the lights work, AM/FM digital radio works. No warning lights on, all systems OK. A/C has been professionally serviced and converted to 134a and is nice and cold. Original paint shines beautifully, one small pencil eraser size ding in the drivers door and a small scratch on the drivers fender. (couldn't get them to show in pics) The only other "bad" is a teeny tiny oil drip coming from the rear oil pan seal. Nothing critical but will have to be addressed at some point. Some of the available oil pan kits come with 2 different thickness rear seals and I believe the engine kit I received had the thinner seal, thus the seepage. Thats my story anyway, lol. Title is clear and in my possession. With all the work we have done to this vehicle I am confident the mileage is 100% accurate. Found no mickey mousing anywhere! Car gets compliments every time I take it out. For inspection please call 1-920-733-1072 . I think thats about it, thanks for looking. After further review I must add, although I cannot attest to wether or not it has been smoked in, I can say it does not smell like it has. No unpleasant musty smells either that you might expect from a car that has been parked as long as this one obviously has.
