Chevrolet C-10 1951 Description

Up for sale is a 1951 Chevy 5 window pickup. It is on a 1996 Chevy S10 Chassis that lays frame. This truck CANNOT go any lower! Lays frame, running boards and fenders flat on the ground. Lowest truck at every show. Conveniently on air ride suspension that makes cruising the highway and city streets comfortably-adjustable. All suspension and steering parts were rebuilt with MOOG components. The rear of the truck is three linked and C notched. Low mileage, Chevy 5.7 350 CI backed with a TH350 that was serviced before it was put in.
The body is an all original paint, with wonderful patina. The floors, all four cab corners, door bottoms, kick panels and rocker panels replaced to have a structural, good looking, and quiet truck.
She sits on 15x8 Cragar Delux Wheels that were painted a nice metallic red to flow with the interior.
The seat was rebuilt and re wrapped along with the door panels and sun visor. The headliner is new as well.
All new rubber and glass, aside from the corner window glass. The passenger side has an original Santa Ana Speed water slide sticker, a nice part of Southern California Hot Rod History!
The dash has been shaved and smoothed in all the right areas. It was painted a Hot Rod Black to match the doors and the rest of the interior of the cab.
The steering wheel is original.
I wanted a very original yet very clean and updated looking interior so I had the extra time spent on having everything once over'd all the way down to the brake and gas pedal having the appearance of a '51 Chevy pickup, and never letting onto the fact that it has a fully modern chassis and drive train. A true sleeper, that many show their excitement when they realize it is on air and not an all original barn find!
On top of the beautiful exterior of the truck, if you look closely you will see that the original Gross Weight signs are still intact and were on the truck when I purchased it from a farm in Oregon. VERY RARE. Receive many compliments on those alone and everyone asks where I got them.
The bed was finished and sealed in several coats of spar urethane. I do not like the look of visible hardware so the bed has a very nice smooth look. The wheel tubs and strips are painted the same black as the engine bay to tie everything together.
Everythingon this truck was either rebuilt, replaced, and made to have a very neat looking, original, barn find appearnce. But remain drivable and to stand out at any show or cruise night.
The truck is currently for sale locally and being driven daily.
