Chevrolet El Camino 1959 Description
Black Plate California Built Car. 1 Piece BumpersCall me at 253-229-93sevenseven with any questions.Well, I've been hoarding this one as this is my number 1 dream car to build. I looked for a long time before settling on this candidate for my next build. It is complete and all the hard to find trim and interior parts are there. The last registration shows 1979 and it has been off the road since then. I'm about 75% done building my 55 Chevy and want to sell my El Camino to finish getting it done. This is an original California car. Still wears its black plates and comes with the small California "Pink Slip" title. Has a few old custom touches but, generally unmolested. The trim is pretty much all there. The passenger door trim is sitting inside the car. Was a little loose so, I removed it and threw it in the car for transport. Has California 1 piece bumpers. 1 older repaint in black with the original blue showing underneath. All glass is in good usable condition minus the windshield and drivers door glass. This car has some cool features I have not seen on another 59 El Camino. It has a hydraulically operated under bed spare tire mount that looks like a dealer or factory installed piece since it is so well made. It also has a padded dash and the stainless dash trim. Even though this car has been a lifelong California car until I towed it up here to Washington a few months ago, there is typical 59 El Camino Rust. Luckily it was never patched up in any way so, you can be sure what you are starting with. It will need lower quarters and floor pans. Other than that, everything looks usable. Doors, tailgate, and hood open and shut very nicely. Underneath the hood is the original 283 in completely untouched original condition. It is not stuck and turns over by hand. I have not attempted to start it. I will help load on your transport or can deliver to the Port of Tacoma or Seattle.
