Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955 Description
1955 Chevy 2 door hardtop belair, 265 V8 with 3 speed on the column original untouched barn find, parked indoors since 1974 still has the plate and registration on the windshield from 74, this is a complete car it has everything and seems to be all original, all body panels are original never wrecked or panels replaced, it was heavily undercoated I assume when new because the bottom of the car is well preserved even the inner rockers are good as well as all the cross braces which is rare. I have owned many tri fives and they all have bad rockers so I was amazed to see how good this car looks underneath, it will need front floor pans they have soft spots and rust through on both front the rear seem to be ok. damp carpet must have caused the floor pan damage, the trunk area shock mount and rear inner wheel tubs are in great shape no rust as well as the rear tail pan again I was surprised, there is a few minor rust spots here and there but nothing major and certainly nothing that would require new panels. the right rear quarter in front of the tire has some body damage looks like they hit a curb or something and there is a few small rust holes there as well again nothing major, I took pictures of that area I grinded it down for buyers to see before shooting black primer on the area, the left rocker has a section I grinded out to replace a section that had a dent again not rotted just a dent so I purchased a new rocker and had planned on trimming out a piece and welding it in to the old rocker to repair that dent but didn't get around to welding it in, the new rocker goes with the car, again I want buyers to see what they are getting please don't confuse the old undercoating underneath as rust since it is peeling off in some areas and has cracks in some spots its just the old undercoating that can be confused asrust. the glass is all there and the windshield is cracked but the regulators work they all roll up and down no issues, dome light works, horn, turn signals, radio headlights all work, gas tank is bad, brakes do not work master cylinder is froze up. I had it running off a can of gasto the fuel pump but its been a while since I have started it, I'm sure with a little effort someone can get it started again. this is just a good car to restore or drive as it is, it will need work before driving but it can be done. steers and rolls easy, must be trailered since this is not being sold as running and driving car but it would make a great hotrod or restoration since its not full of bondo or hidden damages you can see how pure it is in the pictures. I have a clear Texas title in my name. bidders please have the cash before bidding I am not waiting on people to get a loan or find a way to get the cash to buy my car, I have a fair reserve set and will not reveal the reserve during the auction in fairness to all bidders. for questions call 210-240-5079 deposit is required at the end of the auction of $1000 dollars and the rest in cash when the car is picked up.
