Chevrolet Impala 1964 Description
Vintage Motorcars is pleased to present this beautiful 1964 Chevy Impala Coupe.
The exterior of the car is in beautiful condition. The car features a gorgeous and straight rust free body that looks amazing. To the best of my knowledge; this car has had only one repaint. All the chrome is in near excellent condition and shines beautifully. This classic Bowtie with red paint and black interior is a true head turner and gets a thumb up everywhere.
The interior has all been replaced within the past 2 years and looks very good. Nice clean dash free of cracks or previous repairs. Seats are in near perfect condition with almost no visible wear to be found. Everything works as it should. The windows roll up and down with ease. Finished through a comfort-grip Grant GT steering wheel. You will also be able to monitor everything with the help of a set of AutoGauge oil, water & voltage gauges. And… for that ‘hot rod’ vibe there is an oversized Sport Comp tachometer mounted in plain sight. The trunk is very clean and open with the exception of the battery. Of course you gotta have some tunes, so there is a digital AutoSound AM/FM Stereo to jam to.
Mechanically, the 350 Chevy V8 runs and drives excellent and fires right up. Very easy to drive and floats down the road with ease. This is a very comfortable and reliable car. The motor is a rebuilt 350 with the following upgrades:
- Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake
- Holly Duel Feed Carburetor w/ fuel pressure gauge
- K&N high-flow air filter
- MSD 6A Ignition
- MSD #836 Distributor
- BBK Headers
The transmission is a Turbo 350 that has had one rebuild to it, and shifts perfectly through the gears. The B&M shifter on the floor makes the driving more exciting, and the power is transferred to a durable GM 10 Bolt rear end.
The following parts were replaced during the restoration:
- Alternator
- Brake Master Cylinder
- Brake lines
- Front suspension / bushings
- Water pump
There has been a ton of work and money put into this car to make it into the solid, dependable cruising machine that it is today. It may not win any awards at Pebble Beach, but this is a car you would be proud to take to your local cruise-in or car show.
’62 -’64 Impalas are swiftly on the rise in value, so be sure to get into this one today!
