Chevrolet Impala 1959 Description
Original 1959 Chevrolet Impala 4 Door SedanHere we have for sale a nice old original 1959 Chevy Impala 4 door sedan. This car has been sitting in the dry Nevada desert for probably over 20 years before I bought it. This is a fantastic all compete original car to restore or to get up and driving as-is and enjoy it! The car appears to be pretty complete with all of its trim and everything on the inside and out. The Impala is loaded with options! The car is a super collectible car with the iconic big fins in the back of the car. The car has a great body that is really straight. The body has a few dings in the doors and chips in the paint. The paint is an old re-paint over the original color. It has weathered from sitting for so long but has shined up well. It does have a little rust in the back of the fender lips and behind the rear window and hood. See pictures. There is some rust in the trunk too. The floors are solid in the car and everything else on the car is solid. The car has an original brown interior that is in fair condition. It has seen sun damage over the years but it is all there. The carpet is discolored. The seats have some fading in them, and the back seat is in pretty nice shape. The dash is nice on the car with the optional radio, heater and more. The paint on the dash is pretty nice too. The headliner is original and pretty nice shape. It does have some stiching that has come apart is a couple of areas. That all can probably be fixed without needing a new headliner. The steering wheel has some fading areas and cracks in it from sun exposure. But the horn ring is still there and is not broken. The chrome bumpers on the car are there and patina'd from being original to the car. There is a ding in the back bumper. The car has what I believe is the numbers matching original 283 small block in it with power steering and a power glide automatic transmission. The engine still turns over by hand, which is great! The engine compartment is real clean on the car and the wiring in the engine compartment is nice too. The carb is original and will need to be gone through and same with the rest of the fuel system. The stainless trim on the car is real nice but there are some dings in it here and there. The front end grille is all complete and pretty nice shape. There are a couple of little dings in the headlight bezels but nothing major. The glass is all nice and not broken or cracked in the car. The Windows and doors all operate nicely. The door panels are okay, they have had some sun and water damage but the rear door panels are pretty good. The wheels have been changed a long time ago to 15" chrome wheels that used to accept a wire wheel cover. The tires are old on the car and will need to be replaced before the car gets going again. The brakes do not work and will need to be all go through. This is a project car that is not currently running. It's been sitting for almost 20 years in the same spot and will need to be go through mechanically before its road worthy again. This is though a great candidate to receive that treatment to because it is all there and in pretty nice shape. It's not been hacked or messed with. This is a really cool iconic 1950's Chevy that is super collectible and looks just plain awesome! Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions that you may have. I have a clean and clear Nevada title in my name for the Impala. The keys were lost for the ignition and doors. I can store the vehicle for up to a month at my house so that shipping arrangements are made and the car is picked up. I have a shipping connection with a good friend of mine. He takes cars from Reno to anywhere in Southern California for a good rate! Please keep that in mind. I accept cash, money order, or bank transfer as an acceptable form of payment. Thanks for looking!
