The original 8-track is gone, ut there is a Vintage Premium Sony XR Series AM/FM Cassette Stereo radio in its place. You quickly locate your favorite radio station and immediately realize the premium sound system. Overhead, restored info-center consolette finishes off the fighter-cockpit-like instrumentation. Like I said, his is a new car in every way, nd it is as nice as they come and you haven’t even started it.

At first glance, he layman might mistake the Challenger, hallenger SE and Challenger R/T SE. The Challenger “Special Edition” or SE was designed to be slightly more upscale than the regular Challenger with additional “Special Edition” [only] options.
OVERVIEW
At first glance, he layman might mistake the Challenger, hallenger SE and Challenger R/T SE. The Challenger “Special Edition” or SE was designed to be slightly more upscale than the regular Challenger with additional “Special Edition” [only] options.
This awesome E-Body's complete “Old School Resto-Build” began when its solid body was meticulously stripped, arefully massaged and thoroughly sanded into a smooth, onsistent work of art. Once the body was prepped, everal coats of TX9 Gloss Black acrylic enamel were applied. When the paint cured, he rear of this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE was wrapped in Red War Paint via a expertly applied Red Bumblebee Stripe and buffed to a thoroughly substantial presence. The Red Bumblebee Stripe around the tail is painted on so, t is seamless and sharp, ut looks factory. The effect is subtle, ut these cars with the painted stripes somehow look that much more spectacular.
During the transformation from 383 big block 4-speed grocery-getter to fire-breathing beast, his car received a full complement of original R/T emblems and trim, hich are all high-quality period correct items that add value to your inve$tment. Just because it’s a “Old School” car, hat’s no reason to cut corners and not try for 100% authenticity wherever possible, o get things right.
When looking down the body of this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE you'll see flawless straight panels that have been finessed far past anything that rolled out of the factory. Panel gaps are excellent, lignment is first rate, nd the finish is about a million times nicer than these cars ever were when they were new. The crease that stretches from the leading edge of the front fender to the rear, ith a kick-up over the rear wheel, s laser-straight with a knife edge all along, uggesting a very careful job of sanding and straightening the body. On cars that have been raced or abused, hat is very tough to get perfect but, his car looks awesome. The taillight lenses and rear panel are in excellent condition, he stainless has all been buffed to a high shine, nd the chrome front and rear bumpers have show-quality plating with no waves or dimples. Under the rear bumper, he 3” stainless quad tips poke through the rear valence. Up front, his Challenger sports a correctly positioned Challenger R/T grille emblem, etween four pristine headlights. Below a mirror-like bumper, arking lamps grace the lower front valance panel. Pull the car into the sunlight and depth of the TX9 gloss black paint accurately projects the quality of craftsmanship, ll the while offering a era correct paint technology level of protection. Get up close and personal with its gloss black finish and all that staring and comparing adds up to one super slick, ll-American Muscle Car which wraps brutal performance with wicked, ntimidating, iller good looks!
This Classic 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE makes a bold intimidating powerful Dodge styling statement from virtually every angle. At the top of the car, Trans Am-specific hood with two 440 SIX PACK emblems scoops ram air into the engine compartment and two J45 option hood pins secure the fiberglass hood that's framed by straight stainless trim and a black “Special Edition” vinyl top. At the sides of the car, rominent fender lines are complemented by flush-fitting door handles, chrome sport mirror, hrome-trimmed marker lights and a quick-fill flip-top fuel cap. At the back of the car, he wide "DODGE" branded tail lights set perfectly above a second pristine chrome bumper and below, body-matched valence frames the correct quad exhaust tips.
Raise the wide black Trans Am hood and you'll find a killer 440 SIX PACK engine that takes this “Special Edition” Dodge from 'very appealing' to 'MUST HAVE' status almost as fast as it takes its driver from 'confident' to Oh WOW!!! The Trans Am hood was been added, long with the requisite hood pins for a total performance look. The hood is capable of being fully functional if the readily available “factory reproduction” Trans Am hood gasket and SIX PACK wide base plate are incorporated. For a “Old School” car, his one is very, ery accurate. Of course, n a car like this, he engine compartment is where the “real” story lies, nd it should come as no shock to you to find that there’s a forged crank, ighter TRW forged pistons, trengthened connecting rods, pened oil delivery, IX PACK cam timing, nd increased flow heads to turn a impressive 10.5 to 1 compression and a .040 overbore into 495 horsepower! A decaled SIX PACK Dodge air cleaner captures the ram air and directs it to three 500CFM Holley Carburetors mounted on a high rise aluminum intake that emits the most spine-tingling intake howl at full throttle. This is one of the best-running SIX PACK’s I have had in a long time. Premium Fuel is supplied by two performance fuel pumps. That air/fuel mixture explodes in a super clean block flanked with traditional chrome valve covers creating an intimidating engine sound courtesy of a 3” exhaust system that sends perfectly combusted gases through a pair of HOOKER Super Comp Stainless Steel long-tube headers that send perfectly combusted gases through wicked turbo mufflers and pristine quad stainless tips. Cooling is provided by a NOS radiator.
Visually, he body-matched, xceptionally well done, nd organized engine compartment, omes together every bit as well as the outside of the car, ith its smoothed firewall and, loss black fenders providing a perfect frame for this High Performance Dodge V8. In addition to 495 horsepower, he big mill features a host of first class ancillary components including, ouble iridium spark plugs, raided hoses, uel pressure isolator, SD 6AL box and 8MM Super Stock plug wires.. As with most of the high-end Mopars the hoses, lamps, nd accessories are top of the line. True to original “Old School” assembly there is a rear trunk mounted Group 31-5 1140CCA sealed battery topping it all off.
Not surprisingly, he car's “Old-School” front torsion bar and rear leaf spring suspension has been completely upgraded to a beefy Super Stock trick set up that delivers a smooth highway ride. Naturally, hat pavement-ripping earth rotating suspension is augmented by an aluminum light weight steering box and brake system. Power flows to the ground through a set of CRAGAR S/S wheels which spin “ultra rare” 235/60R15” Goodyear #1 Eagle NASCAR raised yellow letter tires in front & 275/60R15” Goodyear #1 Eagle NASCAR raised yellow letter tires in the rear.
Everything from this Challenger's fresh stainless fuel tank to its heavy duty Milodon Oil Pan is fully sorted and ready to go. Inside this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE’s super straight body is a cockpit where the timeless good looks of an American Muscle instrument cluster, lend with tasteful high performance upgrades and information delivery systems. The traditional Dodge upholstery leather seats are firm and feel much more upscale. At the bottom of those seats, here is fresh black carpet. At the sides are carpet, re accented “Special Edition” door panels with silver trim to secure you. In front of the driver, n “Old-School” sport steering wheel spins around the classic steering column. A pistol grip shifter inside a custom console begs to be stirred.
With a tenacious 440 SIX PACK V8, smooth as soft butter HEMI 4-speed transmission and a slick Black w/Red color combination, his super cool 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE combines eXplosive horsepower with modern driving characteristics and classic appeal. The “Old-School” detailing makes this a “era” show-quality car. It's FAST..., t has Presence..., t's tons of fun…!!!
If you're in the market for some stunning Detroit Iron that has the bare-knuckle muscle to back up its killer good looks, his 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE.......
