Dodge Other Pickups 1962 Description
1962 DODGE D100 SHORT BED. I TOOK THIS ON TRADE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HAD PLANS TO FINISH IT. FOR THE MOST PART EVERYTHING IS THERE. THE TRUCKS SLANT 6 RUNS AND SOUNDS GOODAND HAS A NEW BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, TUNE UP, DISTRIBUTOR, AFTER MARKET RADIATOR, NEW HOSES, ETC....AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER TOLD ME HE HAD THE TOP END DONE. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE MILEAGE IS - IT IS UNKNOWN. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD AND ISTHE 3 ON THE TREE COLUUM SHIFT(I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT ON THE HIGHWAY THOUGH, I JUST DRIVE IT AROUND THE BLOCK EVERY MONTH OR SO). THE BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ITS ORIGINAL RED COLOR AND A NICE PATINA. THERE ARE DENTS/DINGS ON THE BODY BUT FOR OVER 50 YEARS OLD IT HAS HELD UP GREAT.THINGS IT WILL NEED DONE: THE EXAUSTMUFFLER IS NOT THERE, BUT THE PIPE FROM THE HEADER IS ON THE TRUCK. IT WILL NEED CARPET. THE TURN STALK IS NOT WORKING AND THE PREVIOS OWNER GAVE ME THE NEW AFTER MARKET TURN SIGNAL SWITCH/STALK TO INSTALL - IT WILL HAVE TO BE WIRED TO THE BRAKES/SIGNALS ANDPARKING LIGHTS. IT WILL NEED THE SHOCKS REPLACED, THE DASH SPEEDOMETER WORKS AND THERE ARE A FEW LIGHTSBULBS OUT ON THE DASH. TIRES ARE GOOD AND HAS THE CENTER HUBCAPS,HAS NEW BRAKEDRUMS ON ALL 4 WHEELS, NEWPADS AND NEW CYILINDERS - BOTH THE CYCLINDERS WERE REPLACED - CLUTCH AND BRAKE MASTER. ALSO, I THINK THE CARB COULD BE REBUILT AS ITS THE ORIGINAL.THE BENCH SEATHAS BEENDONE. THEREARE SOME EXTRA PARTS THAT CAME WITH IT WHEN I GOT IT AND WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK TO THE NEW BUYER - DODGE EMBLEMS, OWNER REPAIR BOOK, TURN SIGNAL STALK AND OTHER SMALL ITEMS.THE UNDER CARRIGE IS ALL SURFACE RUST AND NOTHING SERIOUS AND IS STILL SOLID. I TOOK THE TRUCK IN TRADE AND PUT IT RIGHT WHERE YOU SEE IT, IN MY GARAGE AYEAR AGO.REALITY OF IT IS, I WILL NEVER GET TO IT AND IT IS JUST TAKING UP MY PARKING SPOT. ITS A VERY NICE RARE SHORTBED D100 TRUCKFOR BEING OVER 50 YEARS OLD.ANY QUESTIONS JUST EMAIL.
