Dodge Other Pickups 1981 Description
This Dodge has had some good care. I think this is a civilian issue truck as it has cloth interior, factory air, no holes in roof. Was owned by an elderly couple before me. Her husband passed. Has a 360 4 Barrel V8 with a 4 speed with granny gear. Miles are 61,500 and she said that's original. Look at the pictures and I think you'll believe that. The interior had covers on the seats when I got it. I took those off to show how nice the seats are. Carpet is a little dirty up front on drivers side but still decent original. Dash has a crack right about the gauge cluster. Never seen one crack there before. I included a picture of interior roof also. If you look at the picture of the drivers rear fender above tire there is rust starting there. I also included a picture of the front drivers side rocker where there is rust starting. The rest of the rockers are very solid. Inner rockers are solid also. Front fenders are real solid. All doors are solid, cab corners are solid, floors are solid. Looking under the truck on the drivers side the cab mounts are just starting to rust right by the mount, out to the rocker side looks solid. Passenger side looks solid. Paint on truck is original and with a little wax would shine up very good. I think it's a unusual color that makes the truck unique. Topper is in excellent condition. I included a picture of inside the box. as you'll notice there is a big tank mounted up front. They spent time in Alaska and put that in there to make sure they didn't run out of gas on the trip. Also notice that the fender wells are in excellent shape, doesn't appear that much was ever hauled in it. There is plywood on the floor. I also took a picture of the inside of tailgate. That doesn't appear to have much slid across that either. I included a picture of the top of the roof. As you can see it is very straight and no holes. Engine runs very good and smooth. There is a exhaust leak by the engine, could be where it joins the exhaust manifold or crack at the Y. Trans shifts good. Clutch seems strong. Brake pedal is low but still stops the truck. Worked good last year so don't know what the brakes will need. One tail light is cracked. One headlight bezel is cracked. There is a small dent on front of drivers fender, look at picture. Other then that the truck is very straight. This is a very good example of a 4 door Dodge in my opinion. You would have a very hard time finding one that's nicer to start with. Wax itup do some minor repairs and you could be proud to own it. Just remember that the Old Dodge has been in storage for about 8 years without being driven on the road. It will need minorworkto be dependable again. I've owned it for two years and have stored it inside. I've started it 3-4 times a year and drove it around my place. I have tried my best to describe my truck. I never transferred the title so it is clear in last owners name yet. Look at the pictures and then ask questions. I want you to be happy with you new Dodge when your the last bidder. I'll post a buy it now if we can agree on the price. Thanks for looking at my sale!!!On Nov-14-16 at 09:26:21 PST, seller added the following information:I've had a few people write me that want to know the Buy it Now andfly in and drive the truck home. I'd like to see the truck trailered as it has been sitting for so long. Truck has just been sitting in storage for the last 8 years. Tires have good tread but I did notice one front one hada crack right around the bead. I did run the truck out of gas on purpose to add new gas. I just did this within the last month so there is good gas in it. I also put new spark plugs in it. Like I said brake pedal is low. There are no plates on the truck. The Dodge can sit here until shipping is arranged as long as it's paid for. There is no insurance on it so I'd like to see you put insurance on the truck once you buy it to protect your investment. I've always had 100% feedback.
