Dodge Charger 1970 Description
This car was originally a Charger 500 from California with a 383 2bbl (#'s match), automatic transmission (#'s match), p/s,p/b, a/c, bucket seats, rally dash with tic tic tach, am radio with rear speaker. The buyer of this car will also receive all the original parts. Engine (#'s matching)K-frame, ac parts, etc that I have kept to return the car back to a 500.
This car is a complete nut and bolt restoration with correct date codes on most of the parts. (Trans, wiper motor, radiator, alternator, steering box, hoses, k-frame) Every piece has been totally restored, re-plated, or replaced to look like a factory HEMI car. I kept the a/c in for comfort and hung the compressor low and hidden. Most people have to look twice to realize it has air conditioning. Since the car was originally from California it had very little rust to replace. (front of lower quarters, trunk center)The body was stripped down to bare metal by chemical (NOT SANDBLASTED) All necessary body work done (Including the installation of the Hemi torque plates) and painted with base coat /clear coat( DuPont) factory color (inviolet/plumb crazy) The car was a factory under coat car. (Dodge never ever painted the under side of these vehicles!) All stainless trim was restored and polished.
The interior is white with bucket seats. All seat frames and mounts were refinished. The seat belts have been totally rewebbed with labels, buckles and clasps all re-chromed. Door panel uppers and lowers were restored or new. Interior and exterior handles and vent window frames and hardware replaced or re-chromed. New head liner and visors.
The heater/ac box has been completely disassembled, cleaned, doors and dash pots refinished, heater core tested and evaporator cleaned and checked. The dash and gauges have been totally restored back to new appearance. The box has been refinished back to factory look.
All window regulators, latches and strikers, and mirrors (L&R) have been cleaned, restored, and refinished.
