Dodge Dart 1965 Description

1965 Dodge Dart: I am listing this for a close friend of mine, I am very familiar with the car, he has owned it for the past 5 or so years. He found it in the driveway of the original owners home, and was able to purchase it from his family. The man had passed away and it hadn't been driven in a number of years. It was a super solid original 30k car and other then some minor lower quarter rust was a totally solid car
When it was repainted and the color changed, the lower quarters were repaired with all metal that was welded in not fiberglass or Bondo. The door jambs and engine compartment were painted and the paint looks great, it is not a Maaco job. It may not be ready for the Greenwich Concours but it is a very good quality job, and with a bit of trim replacement in a few places and some fresh upholstery and carpet it could be taken to a whole other level. Decently presentable as is, but interior work would make it perfect. Also could use some better trim around outside of headlights, and right tail light, but it is all there just a bit dinged from the previous elderly owner.
It is an original slant six car, that runs great can be driven anywhere and burns no oil, and leaks nothing. All the brakes and suspension have been gone through, the wheels and tires upgraded, and it can be driven anywhere unlike alot of older cars like this you may see. It recently completed a weekend round trip to southern Virginia and back without skipping a beat, and a trip to Allentown PA 2 weeks ago, and the gas mileage is great too.
In the last 2 years it got new brake lines all the way around, alternator, carb rebuild, Starter, belts, oil changed on time every time, radiator flush, A few coolant hoses and new heater core. Also has new Pioneer radio installed in glove box so it wouldn't take away from original look. Also 2 new pioneer speakers.
This would make a great first car for your enthusiast son or daughter, it is easy to drive with auto trans and power steering, and won't kill them or get them arrested with its mild Slant Six. It really shows well and gets a lot of attention. It has plenty of pep, and drives great. Email me with any questions or to arrange to come see it.
