Dodge Dart 1969 Description
1969 Dodge Dart GTS 383 4 speedThis unbelievable car is a once in a lifetime find and a rare opportunity to own. I have been in the Mopar Muscle Car hobby for over 30 years and have never seen another Big Block 4 speed GTS survivor that wasn't ever restored, wasn't everrusted, wasn't ever wrecked, wasn't blown up and was still all numbers matching and runs and drives great! A '69 Dart GTS 383 4 speed car wasn't supposed to last almost 50 years, they were cheap disposable transportation that most people beat up, abused and neglected. Well this rare car is the exception!
It was first ordered and owned by a service man from Michigan and he was immediately deployed to Oklahoma where it was registered for several years. The original Oklahoma Air Force Base sticker is still on the front bumper! From there it bounced around the country through the hands of several owners who all took great care of it and maintained it's originality. Itresided in California, Wyoming, Colorado, Ohio and more places! The heat from the South did takeit's toll on the vinyl top and interior over the yearsbut preserved the sheet metal. Along the wayseveral parts were bought to improvethe carbut only the seat covers were ever installed to make the interior a bit more comfortable.
Parts that willcome with the car are:New Carpet kitNew HeadlinerNew Legendary Vinyl TopPerfect Replacement Dash PadThe Original Intake ManifoldA New Heater CoreA Redline Spare Tire...and several more original and replacement parts
This rare car is only one of only 784 383 magnum 4 speed GTS Hardtops built in 1969. It was the biggest engine you could get in aDartwith a 4 speed in 1969! It is also a Power Steering car that adds to is rareness. It is alsoa console 4 speed car with bucket seats, an AM radio and an addedcool retroMoon Eyes steering column tachometer. The car is 99.9% rust free all original sheet metal and was rustproofed when new which probably help save this awesome unrestored car. It has its' original fender tag that has never been removed and all tagsand decals are original on the car. It comes with the original owners manual, original warranty paperwork and the original dealer packet with the original owners name and dealers name on it. There are also many receipts, copies of previous titles, insurance paperwork and many originalregistrations for the car. All numbers match on itand it retains its' original engine, original transmission and originalsure grip rear end. For some reason every owner of this car from the beginning took good care of it and resisted ruining the incredible patina by restoring it. If this car could talk it would have a lot to say! It is all original paint, original tail stripe, all original drive train and really the only thing that has been done to the car is regular maintenance, new Legendary seat covers and newcorrect Redline bias ply tires. I also added a Pertronix module inside ofthe original distributer to replace the points for better and morereliabledrivability. It also has the very rare mag wheel style wheel coversandhas original chrome dual exhaust tips!
As I said in the beginning, I have been in the Mopar Muscle Car Hobby for over 30 years, have been to all of the major car shows all over the country. Ihave been deep into the Mopars owing and operating a restoration shop, collecting them, driving, showing, owning, buying and selling them since the '80's. I've never seen another GTS like this one! This has been my own personal car for several years now. It's titled in my name and I have shown it at many local car shows, cruise nights and a few years ago it was invited to and wasshown at the MCACN (Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals) car show in Chicago. This show is the biggest and the best Muscle Car Show in the country and cars may only be shown there by invitation. By doing this the show has different rare and seldom seen Muscle Cars coming in from all over the world each year. It was an honor to have the GTS invited and shown there.
Well now this great car becomes available to you because I have moved on to a new personal Mopar Muscle Car. An A12 Road Runner replaces it and it will be missed for sure. I hope the next owner will maintain this rare cars patina for the history of the hobby but it will be up to him/her. It is a great car as is or the perfect car for a 100 point restoration. You decide!
