Dodge Charger 1970 Description

1970 Dodge charger 500. True California blue plate barn find in excellent original untouched condition. Sitting since 1992 in the hot dry Glendale area of Los Angeles. Quite an interesting color combo of plum crazy paint with white interior and top. Originally a 383 but now a 440. The body has survived amazingly well albeit very sunburned. There is no rust to speak of and only one real dent on the rear drivers quarter panel. Some small rust at lower rear window corners but that's about it. The paint is very faded from sun and the vinyl top has completely burned off revealing a solid roof with very light surface rust. It has some old school pinstriping and lettering on it which is also very faded but cool looking. Paint on jambs and under hood/trunk still very vibrant. The interior is in the same sunburned condition, eats are cracked with covers but headliner is good along with rear seats. It still has that great original Dodge smell to the interior. Has optional tachometer and mileage shows 29,000 but i have no way of knowing if true or not so assume its 129,000. The car has been upgraded to a 440 which runs very strong along with the auto on the column trans. The car has just received a $1000 service to wake it from its long slumber. The carb was replaced with a rebuilt one, ank flushed, ew lines/pump/battery/oil/gas/filters. The brake master and booster were replaced along with rear shoes and cylinders. It is now in turnkey driving condition and is very nice to cruise around in. The engine does have a slight lifter tick which is getting better the more i drive it but i can't guarantee it will totally go away. Magnum 500's with old and dry tires but hold air fine. I do not recommend them for long term use or high speeds :) All electrics seem to work inc headlamp doors (albeit very slowly) and brake/side/turn signals. Dash lights quite dim, adio just makes noise. Very Mean looking nice driving car but its so big i just don't have room to store it anymore so looking for a nice home for it. $500 non refundable deposit due on winning bid and balance by cash/wire/deposit/check. I have a clear california title in hand.
