Dodge Dart 1973 Description
1973 Dodge Dart Swinger. Special order by Chrysler engineer. All original survivor that hasn't been used since the 80's. 62,000 original miles. Factory original red paint, Factory sunroof, all original white vinyl top and black bench seat interior in amazing condition, 318 V8, auto, 3.23 Sure grip rear, factory AC, PS, P/disc brakes, Solid car, underside was undercoated when new so is rust free. Build sheet, and documentation included in sale. Car has had basics done to make roadworthy again. She runs and drives well but is an old car and not perfect. Has a soft dent on passenger side right behind door (look at picture...Paintless dent removal service can repair as they did on my Firebird). The rest of the body is very straight. Chrome bumpers have pitting. Car has always been protected from sun exposure so rubber seals and interior are in great condition. Paint shines well but has a LOT of touch ups on top side (hood and trunk) due to dirty deteriorating car cover on it while in storage for some time. Original owner changed to a 1975 grill and different rims for his personal aesthetic taste. (I do not have original grill or Rallye wheels to go with sale). I can't stress enough how nice the original interior, sunroof, and wood steering wheel are. This is a very solid, original, rare, and special car that needs to be driven and enjoyed. Hoping to find the right home for this unmolested classic. $500 Paypal deposit due at auction close and balance within one week. Cash is fine or payment needs to clear before car and title released. Car located in Sarasota, Florida (50 miles south of Tampa). Buyer responsible for pick up. Please ask any questions or call me for more info...thanks for looking. On Feb-28-17 at 18:35:30 PST, seller added the following information:I think the word barn find is overused so I'll say this car is a garage find / carport find. This is a vintage car that was unused for years and neglected for years so she is far from perfect and will need some love...has ancient tires, leaks power steering fluid, steering pump whines, AC is not fully hooked up and not working yet, paint looks good from 25' or in pictures but as stated prior has a lot of touch up done on hood and trunk areas, car stops fine but brake pedal doesn't feel great. Car does have some new parts: new AC condensor and evaporator (still needs new R134A line made up...old R12 line still installed). New heater core and shocks at all 4 corners. Car is cold natured but once warm she runs great...does not overheat...drives very well. Car is sold as is and is driveable but should be trailered / towed home for tire safety reasons unless in Sarasota area. If feedback less than 10 please do not bid. Reserve is off so I'm selling to the highest happy bidder looking for a classic American car to tinker with, drive, and enjoy. Thanks for your consideration.
