Dodge A100 Camp Wagon 1966 Description

1966 Dodge A100 Van.
Rare, "Camp Wagon" made by Traveco
318 V8, with 727A auto trans. Pretty much bullet proof.I've done a ton of work on this, but, as always, found something else. The "Family Wagon" by Traveco, and can't have both.Ok, quick rundown.New dual sprocket timing chainfuel pumpwater pumpHEI small block electronic distributor with 50k coil, new wires, caps, plugs etc.insulated engine compartmentnew chrome valve covers, plus air cleaner.rebuilt carburetor (farmed out) guy did a crappy job I think, as it is cold blooded and has a flat spot till warmed up.
serviced trans, filter, gasket, changed fluidchecked brakes, replaced one wheel cylinderserviced rear end (change gear oil)replaced one universal.New tires.
Things I think it needs, but since I'm selling will leave for the next person.I bought a speedo cable as it's leaking from it and speedo is wobbly when running. Original is worn out, and leaks where it enters trans.New heavy duty brake spring. The original is tired. It's just a spring on the pedal which helps it return. Probably find it at Lowe's.Shift cable will need to be replaced also, you can see it's been damaged up against the exhaust manifold. (They're listed here on ebaymotors)Will need exhaust. Sounds ok now, but you can tell it's tired.
Go to youtube and search under cptglen and you will see and hear it running and get a good idea of it. for some reason ebay won't let me copy links directly to it.
Anyway, it's a good ride, rare, and is an easy camper to repair, and keep on the road which was my original objective. Wish I could have finished what I started, but, it's well on it's way, and I have to concentrate on my other one (Family Wagon). This is a no reserve auction. I'm selling it for less than what I have into it, but, might as well pass it on.
