This was Mopars perfect combination of relatively affordable horsepower with an inexpensive car. The A12 option replaced the standard 383 with a 440 built for performance and durability. With 390 horsepower and 490 lbs-ft of torque, here was plenty of power to go around. In addition to the A12 option, S15 Police Package consisted of larger diameter torsion bars, ube shocks, pper and lower control arms and a .94-inch anti-roll bar. Dodge also installed Hemi-rated leaf springs to reduce wheel hop. It should be noted that approximately half of the remaining Six Packs are still numbers matching.
