Dodge Ram 3500 1992 Description
Dodge 1992 D350, LE package club (extended) cab. 4 wheel drive. Desirable 1st generation 12 valve Cummin's engine. 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. (yes, the OD works) Equipped with AC, (yes, it works fine) and cruise control, (yes, it works) 4 wheel drive/transfer case works as it should. AM/FM cassette. White and Silver exterior, gray interior with captains chairs and fold up jump seats in the back. Small tear on drivers side seat (see photo). I'm a non smoker and the truck does NOT smell, however there are some burn marks from a previous owner on the fabric trim on the doors. Sliding rear window. Dash is in good condition, no cracks. Inside drivers door handle is loose.(see photo) Tilt steering wheel. Power locks. Factory running boards and factory hood bug deflector. Goose-neck ball in bed. 277,016 miles. Clear title. This truck is NOT/NEVER WAS my daily driver. So it is under utilized. I just always liked this body style-dually combo. Never really needed a 1 ton...I believe I'm the 3rd owner, but I have never checked "car facts" or what ever to find out for sure.
Truck is in good restorable condition or drive it as is. Some light surface rust (see photos) here and there. No rust through. I think a light sanding and some touch up paint would take care of 99% of the finish issues. If I were to keep the truck that would be my next project. Some minor dents in the cab. (see photos) and some larger dents in the box, obviously from shifted loads (previous owner.) All could be repaired by a good body guy, especially if you removed the box from the frame. New rear aftermarket fenders. They are duplicates of the originals EXCEPT they do not have running lights. They are as heavy as the cracked originals (deer sideswipes) I took off. Grill is cracked as well as one mirror housing. Equipped with power mirrors but neither work. These items are all available from vendors on E-bay. Floor is solid. Tailgate needs to be replaced. Large dent as seen in the photos, (yes, a previous owner) I've always been told it would be impossible to repair. It opens and closes but the latch doesn't work and to open you have to lift up on the toggles on the inside of the tailgate.
Door window weather striping is brittle and needs to be replaced. 4 speed automatic transmission shifts as it should, shifts and accelerates smoothly.
I have owned this truck for about 12 years and had the following work done; I have most of the receipts.
Injector pump rebuilt
Front and shocks replaced in 04
Front tires (Firestone "Steel-Tex" radials with hwy tread) 50% tread
Valve cover gaskets replaced 2005
Replaced steering coupler and shaft 2004
Radiator, radiator hoses replaced in 2007
New rear wheel bearings both sides 2007
Replaced rear brake drums (both sides) as well as new seals, brake shoes etc... (2011)@266,592 miles
Rear tires (4-Goodyear Wranglers, load range E, traction tread) 80% +tread (2011)@266,592 miles
Block heater replaced 2012

U joints replaced (all)2007
Transmission overhauled by professional, all HD parts, (like new, no issues) (2014) @275,065 miles

Master brake cyl.replaced in 2014
Exhaust replaced in 2007
New Battery 2016
New (aftermarket duplicates) dual rear wheel fenders installed 2014 due to deer sideswipes
New air filter and recent oil change.
I'm confident a buyer could drive it home anywhere.
This list does not include routine oil changes, filter changes, front/rear end flush and fluid change as well as transfer case service.
This is a very reliable, great running usable truck as is, and with some time and money could look like new. I'm out of both.
Sold as is.
Added this after an inquiry about the gear ratio, the sticker under the hood had the following info on it;
Rear brakes-12X3.0
Front- disc.
Std duty 4 speed auto transmission
transfer case 205
3.5 axle ratio
rear axle- spicer 70
