Dodge Charger 1974 Description

Hello All,

Up for auction is my 1974 Dodge Charger. I love this car, but I have to sell to pay part for parts & paint and so on for my other Mopars. So, what it’s worth is totally up to you, because this is a NO RESERVE auction. That said, please don’t bid or bid and win this auction if you have no intention of paying. International buyers please contact me before bidding to let me know how you’ll pay and ship. Please ask any and all questions now, write or call anytime, I get back to folks fast – 973 517 3909. Thank you kindly for checking out my Charger, Jad.

What I know:

  • Clean and clear title in my name, 95K miles – YOU’RE VERY WELCOME TO COME AND TEST DRIVE IT!

  • 340 engine that was rebuilt by deceased owner, mileage on the rebuild is unknown

  • Engine has a nice glug-glug to it, like a Harley – no doubt a mild cam in there and likely other performance components

  • 3 speed automatic on the column, shifts nice with no trouble at all

  • Factory discs in the front, drums in the back, breaks just fine

  • Positive Traction driven rear end

  • She drives nice and straight, no squeaks or squawks from the front-end, rear has air-shocks

  • Factory Power Bulge that’s in really nice shape, cool rear spoiler and front valiance scoop

  • Not rust-rot holes in the floor pans, some surface rust in and around trunk which I think should be an easy clean-up

  • Some rust & minor holes around the wheel wheels, no rust on the frame rails

  • Some surface rust inside the door jambs but no holes – should be easy to fix these areas

  • Pretty clean interior, driver seat has a tear, light wear to passenger seat, back seat is in awesome shape

  • Headliner has minor holes and discoloration, light stains to original carpet, scuffs and finish wear to panels

  • Dash has a few minor cracks but all the lights work – I love driving this car at night, the dash lights are so cool

  • All signal, maker & break lights work without issues, cool rims, fair tires

  • Original Radio, plus an old school digital radio that works and same vintage speakers, and 10-CD player that I’ve never tried

  • I don’t listen to the radio because it’s all about the rumble, which I’m sure comes from big aftermarket pipes

  • It seems to me that nearly all the trim is there – I just replace the battery and thermoset, new

  • She’s been repainted and there are newer imperfections since, but nothing that’s shameful

  • I get compliments everywhere I go – my 11 & 5 year old boys love going for rides and being seen by friends

  • I have a great domestic shipper, ask me

What I don’t know:

  • How long ago the motor was rebuilt, what went into it, miles on the rebuild

  • If the trans was ever rebuilt – she drives so nice so my guess is yes

  • If the front-end was ever rebuilt, drives too nice not to have been rebuilt

Guys, I’ve a very good track record on eBay. It takes work and honesty with buyers to achieve this. So please call and write me with your questions – 973 517 3909. I get back to folks very fast. All my answers will be posted for all to see. Also, you’re very welcome to come and drive her. I’ve made a few recent long trips without issues. She’s not perfect, but you can fix-up while you go. This is the same approach my wife takes with me, and I’m still married. J Jad.
