Dodge 1956 Description
This is a well built 1956 Dodge rat rod pickup. It has a Chrysler torsion bar front suspension, ig power disk brakes on the front and drum power brakes on the rear. It has a limited slip 355 8 3/4" rear diff. The tranny is a rebuilt 727 Torgueflight with a Hurt floor shifter. The engine is a 440 with new rings, earings, ebuilt heads and high performance cam shaft. The wiring is all new with new style fuses. This truck was built by a professional mechanic so you don,t have to worry about a lot of cheesy mechanical work or poorly fabricated parts commonly found on a lot of poor handling unsafe rat rods. The side glass is new and the rear window and windshield have all new rubber seals. The lights and signals work, emp and oil pressure gauges work, o heater and the wipers, mp gaugeand speedo are inop. It has nice door panels, eat and carpet. The floors are solid as is the rest of the body. It is pretty much straight and clean everywhere. The tail gate is especially nic, ike something you would find on a show truck.
This truck drives out very nicely. With power brakes and power steering it is effortless to drive and the powerful drive trainmakes it a bunch of fun. The suspension, eing torsion bar, ives you some adjustment up or down. It has full cover Dodge Car hubcaps and a real cool old whiskey bottle over flow bottle. As it is, t is pretty much a turn key old school hot rod / rat rod that you can have fun in this summer without spending a fortune.
I will be happy to answer any questions and do what I can help you with pickup and delivery. Thank you Harvey
P.S. I will try to get a virtual drive video set up on You Tube before the end of the auction.
Correction; The wipers DO Work. In the descriptions above I said they were inop but they are working. Thanks Harvey
