Dodge Charger 1969 Description
Up for bids is an extremely rare find. All numbers matching 1969 Dodge Charger R/T SE. This means 440 and 727 from the factory. What makes this really unique is it's not a overrestored $75k example. It is original. and mostly untouched since 1991. 114k original miles. the 440 still fires right up and runs great. It doesn't appear to have ever been out of the car. The 727 still shifts the 3 gears as it should. Tic toc tach still works also! The charger is extremely solid. as it was slathered in cosmolene way back in the day which preserved the car. The underneath. floor and trunk pans are nice. Frame rails are mint. The only bubbling on the car is a couple spots in front of the back tire on one side. and one spot on the other side. The fenders. doors. roof(yes under the vinyl top too) is not rusty. The paint is possibly original to the car. nbsp;I'm not positive. The car still has the white bumblebee stripe on the rear. Grill is in fantastic shape you can tell it's never been in an accident. The vinyl top is not torn or in bad shape. but is VERY dingy/dirty from sitting dormant for years. It may be able to be cleaned up with some scrubbing. but not positive. The interior is very nice for original. The leather seats are still soft. there is a tear on the passenger seat bottom. appears to be from a sharp object. not from wear. Still has the SE only leather seats. pedal dress up. woodgrain steering wheel. etc. The gauges still work including tach. in general it's still in pretty good survivor condition. The wheels are the original magnum 500's. The tires are from the 80's and still have a lot of tread. And while I did drive the car 30 miles to my shop with them at 55 mph. I wouldn't trust them for a long trip or every day driving simply because of their age. They are cool being such an old school tire it's like a time capsule. This is just one of those once in a lifetime cars to find. again it's a #'s matching R/T SE. I have the mint build sheet for the car. and it's original completely readable fender tag is still on the car also. It's one of those cars you could keep as is and it would draw a lot of attention as it. or you could restore it like all the other ones out there I guess if you want a $75k car. I am putting NO RESERVE on the car so BID TO WIN and serious bidders only. I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason. as the car is for sale locally. You do not want to miss this one! Thanks for looking and good luck. and please feel free to ask with any questions.
