Dodge Wayfarer 1949 Description

This is a very nice 1949 Dodge Wayfarer Convertible Roadster project. This is 1 of 5420 produced in 1949. The body is complete with all the parts, ut the original engine and transmission are gone. This car has been updated with an early 70's GM mid size front frame clip and rear axle. The frontsheet metal is not completely installed, nd will need some fab work to mount everything properly. It does have the optional side windows in the doors and they roll up and down with ease. The top frame is manual and goes up and down, ut needs some oiling. The car has the complete dash and gauges, ith knobs and buttons. they have been removed for restoration purposes. Seat and door panels are in good condition and very usable as is with cleaning. The glass is in good shape, ith a minor crack in the passenger side door glass. The body is very straight without any major damage or dent, nly minor dings here and there. There is some minor rust issues that need to be addressed. The floor pans inside the car will need to be replaced. There is rust holes on both the driver and passenger front, nd the driver rear pans. There is rust in the rockers, ut I have new replacement rockerpanels for both sides. There is rust on the bottom of the trunk lid, ut I have a patch panel for that also. There is some rust in the lower panel below the trunk lid around the rear corners of the quarters. The last place is some minor rust at the bottom backcorners of the door jams. All in all this is a very solid project, ith minimal rust issues for a car that is 66 years old. The tires are old and do have some age cracking on the rear tires. The front tires are in very good shape without anynoticeable cracking. The car does have a GM Tilt wheel with key, nd the original keys are with it also. This car has a clear Texas Title, n original one from the 1950's. This would make an Awesome Hot Rod, r Traditional Custom and will not have you searching all over for parts. All parts that you do not see, do have in the trunk( front Bumper, plash pan, rill and side trim, adiator, ail lights, tc. ) Please ask questions before bidding. I do my best to remember everything about the car, ut I may omit something accidentally.
