Dodge Ramcharger 1987 Description
Up for consideration is my 1987 Ramcharger. I bought this truck in 2004. Before this wreck, this truck was in excellent condition. I was the last in line of a 5 car pile up on the highway and I rear-ended a big Chevrolet Silverado. This truck was my "baby". The wreck happened exactly 2 years ago today (11/4/14). Which is why I have decided to finally sell it. My intentions were to restore it, but I simply have too much on my plate to do it. It's obvious to me now that I am doing more harm to the truck by letting it just sit out there.I am the 3rd owner of this truck. The listed miles are original. I have the owners manual as well as information from the original person who purchased it brand new still in in the glove box. I even have the card of the salesman. The miles are low because she was a wildlife officer and drove a county vehicle most of the time. I bought it from my boss in 2004 and it only had 69,000 miles on it. Before the wreck, the AC, cruise, and power windows all worked. I had the AC refrigerant updated in 2008. I purchased brand new 15" wheels from eBay in 2005 for a 96 Dodge pickup. They really set it off.
The bad. The pictures tell the story. You basically need a front cap minus the passenger side fender, windshield, driver side door, steering wheel, gear shift, and some miscellaneous interior damage. The trans is still stuck in drive. The tow truck driver broke either the gear shift or linkage trying to put it in neutral. Did the frame suffer damage? I had2 local body guys look at the truck. One said the front frame may be "slightly" warped. He said if it was, it wasn't too bad, and his price to straighten it was $350. The other said he didn't believe it was. So the short answer is, I don't know. This will either be one very good parts truck, or a full restoration.
That's about everything with this truck. If you have any questions or comments feel free to message me. Thanks!
