Dodge Dart 1974 Description
For sale is a 1974 Dodge Dart Sport 2 door with 139. 46 miles auto transmission and 318 V8. The car was my Dads project and he has since passed. I finished a lot of detail work after my father’s passing but no one in the family has the time to enjoy it. So now is the right time for it to find a new home. The car spent most of its life in Colorado and likely came to Michigan in the early 2000’s. Most of the restoration work was done 8-10 years ago. Below are the highlights. Please feel free to ask any question you might have. I also can get additional pics if you need. Car Info. 318 ci V8Automatic transmissionI believe the drive line is original. but I have never verified this. Open rear end (small ring gear not the more desirable larger one)Single stock like exhaust set up. Stock exhaust manifolds. No AC but car had a badly damaged aftermarket unit installed (was removed 10 years ago) . The aftermarket compressor is on the engine but not hooked to anything. Has the fold down rear seat with pass through to main cabin. Has air shocks in the rear so you can give it a little stance if you so desire. Everything works except the minor turn signal issue noted under "the bad"15" over sized tires rims (original would have been 14") The GoodRuns and drives good. Interior looks almost perfect! Most of the interior is new from Legendary Auto Interiors. (Dash pad. seats. door Panels headliner & ect. )Replaced vinyl top. Transmission rebuilt by Hudsonville transmission. Engine was disassembled and only parts that needed replacement were replaced. New Edelbrock Cam. lifters. bearing’sNew Edelbrock 4 barrel intakeNew 4 barrel carburetorComplete gasket setValve sealsnew timing chain. New water pumpTires are about 10 years old with only a few thousand miles on them. Paint is smooth and has high gloss Colorado car that is really solid. New outer bearings in the rear end. OEM Hood scoop but not original to the car. The BadBoth rear quarter panels are showing a little rust at the bottoms. Front and rear bumpers need re chrome platedSteering box a little sloppyTurn signal does not automatically return in one direction. Part included. Some paint chips and dings. Some scratching on the rear window glass. (better condition used window included)Front parking lights have some small cracking. Slight scrubbing sound coming from the rear of car maybe hung brake shoe? Overall the car is in nice condition. Enjoy it the way is or spend a little time and money to bring it to the next level….
