Dodge Challenger 1972 Description
1972 Dodge Challenger. Was Blue - Now Black exterior with original Blue interior. Rallye Dash. Power Steering and Slap Stick Automatic. Nice clean car. 318 Engine. Carter AFB Four Barrell with manual choke and Holley Intake. Stock exhaust manifolds and single exhaust. Non Power Drum Brakes. 160k miles. Painted in 1980. At that time with 100k on the car the engine and trans were rebuilt and the non factory mags installed. Recent brake hard lines. flex lines. Master Cylinder and wheel cylinders. Recent fuel pump and water pump. Drives very well and engine / trans feel fine. Suspension good and it runs straight down the road. Interior original and still very nice. Rip above back seat in a fixable spot. rear package tray is faded. Front bucket seats really nice with some wear on the drivers side. Nice head liner. Dash has cracks extending out from the center speaker. Rallye dash with working gauges. Tach and gas guage inoperative but I'm working on it. Old AM/FM Cassette radio works. Door panels and Console are faded but in good shape. Console lid has a crack repair showing. Carpet still original and not bad. Overall interior appearance is a positive considering it came with the car when new. Exterior shows glossy black paint with very straight lines. You will find nicks and scratches here and there around the car. A few dings in the trim. Shines very well and the original top is in great shape. Bumpers are also original and are showing their age - but still shine very well !. Old style mags look great and I would recommend tires before heavy use. nbsp; Lower quarter panels were replaced in 1980. Overall exterior appearance is good - take it anywhere and people are all over the car. But it is not perfect and the pictures hide a lot. Call me to discuss and I'll give you the straight scoop. No rust showing. No dents. Needs: Car has always been on the road (this is not a barn find) but only about 100 miles a year lately. Although the brakes and lots of mechanical maintenance has been done recently - expect to refine this car before heavy use. No Data Plate on Inner Fender. No overheating. battery charges properly. all the exterior lights work. turn signals (Including indicators on hood). horn. wipers. All windows work correctly. etc. Brake job just done and water pump / fuel pump recently. No Known mechanical Issues. Can't guarantee that engine and trans are original but previous owner has had the car since the late 70's and although it was rebuilt - he indicated the engine / trans is original to the car. Shifts perfectly. Good road manners. Thanks !
