The Dodge Super Bee is a muscle car marketed by Dodge. In 1971 the Dodge Super Bee took on a whole new body style and for the first time Dodge used a Charger body instead of the Coronet. It was to be the only year that Dodge used the Charger's body with the Super Bee name plate on it. This 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee is one of 2,889 383 4 BBL 2 door Hard Tops. A total of 4,144 Dodge Charger Super Bee's were made in 1971, ompared to 13,046 Plymouth Road Runner. Also there were 10,614 Hard Top and 3,640 Coupe's for a total of 14,254 Super Bee's in 1970. This 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee was a very low optioned model, ith AM Radio, ucket Seats, enter Console, nd Rear Window Defroster. The seller decided to restore the car the way he would have ordered it with original Drive Train with matching numbers. With the start of the original color, lum Crazy Purple for the Exterior and a White Interior which makes for a great color combo. The striping color was changed to White Reflective, n 1971 the only color of the stripping you could get on a Charger was a Matte Black.
Next was the Engine to be Rebuilt. Went with 30 over on the Pistons, he Heads were rebuilt with New Valve and Springs and Guides, orted and Polished. Installed was a Hemi Grind Cam and a New Holley Carburetor. The transmission was totally rebuilt and a 355 Rear End was added. The original Rear End was a 323 and the seller still has this. The interior came with the Round Standard Cluster so it was changed to a Ralley Cluster and the Tachometer was added. Also added was AM/FM Radio, uff Steering Wheel, edal Dress Up, nd Inside Hood Release. New Hood Pins and a Ramcharger Air Grabber were installed on the hood. Also installed a New Accurate Exhaust System, .5" from the Manifolds to the Max Wedge Mufflers and 2.25" Tail Pipes from the Mufflers to the Chrome Exhaust Tips.
