Dodge Charger 1966 Description

1966 Dodge Charger with a V8 383 motor and 727 Automatic Torqueflight Transmission. When I found this car, t was a survivor car stored in a storage unit for the last 30 years. The car had the 318 V8 motor and I wanted more horsepower. I found the same year block (1966) 383 and 727 transmission that fits the 383 motor. The car has been restored by 3 professionals in the last two years. Body and paint, echanical, nd electrical. I planned on keeping the car for a long time and built the car to my specifications. But things have changed and it’s time to sell. When I took the car apart, o metal work was needed including dents. The dents the car had on the body were dings. No rust except minor surface rust was in the car. When the old carpet was ripped up, he car looked freshly painted underneath. The car was painted black 8 months ago and is straight as an arrow. I wanted the pro touring look as a cruiser and that is exactly what it is. My plans for this car was to be a driver and a car to enjoy. It’s not a points car that get trailered to car shows but driven to car shows. It hasn’t seen rain, now, r any weather except sunshine. The car is exceptionally clean and detailed and looks like it rolled off the showroom in 1966. When I bought this car, t was 100% original and I have every part that was taken off, ncluding the original Tires and Rims with hubcaps (star looking hubcaps), otor, adiator, ransmission, tc. Whoever buys this car will get the car, riginal 318 motor, riginal 727 transmission that is brand new rebuilt, ims and tires, nd all other original parts. The instrument gauges all work and I put on a small cluster under the dash because I like to see temp, oltage, tc. In 1966 the gauges had arrows and pointed in direction, wanted more accuracy. The gauges are easily able to disconnect and hook up the actual gauges if that is what you desire. This car has a new Power Pack that runs the electroluminescent lighting and radio. New limit switches that are located behind the glove box are new aftermarket. New rear wiring harness that runs the back end of the car. New tail light lenses with metal lettering (not plastic). New rebuilt painted motor with an upgraded comp cam. I wanted more throaty sound and put a bit over stock cam. MSD ignition. Transmission rebuilt and painted. New manual steering box. Wilwood disc brakes on the front. New master cylinder. New Holly Carburetor. New carpet with the extra thick backing. New paint throughout the car. New upholstery. New Dash. Rear bumper re-chromed. New weather strip entire car, ew glove box. Jack, andle, ll together like it came from the factory. New exhaust, ibson tips. Under the car has been resprayed with rhino lining just like it came from the factory. New gas tank with sending unit. New rear brakes. New wheels and tires. New chrome radiator. New alternator. The car is pretty much new all the way around. Full Disclosure – Radio does not work and it’s just the radio. I was going to add an aftermarket radio that looks like the exact one. They plug and play just like the older radio. This car has rotating headlights that when the light switch turns on the headlights rotate. The right headlight gets stuck halfway. When the car was apart I had the motors tested and they both work with no issues. The right headlight needs adjusted as they have adjustment screws. That was my last to do on the list. Everything on the car works. Like I said, he new owner gets the 318 motor, ransmission, ll original parts, ar cover, tc. all emblems and badging are attached to the car. Clean title, lean car, o trades. Buyer responsible for shipping.
