Dodge Challenger 1970 Description
1970 Dodge Challenger SE - 383/727 Number MatchingI'm selling my '70 Challenger because I'll never get around to restoring this car and I can't afford to keep paying for its storage fees. This is a tremendous car to build. It's a numbers matching SE car with the rear window insert and roof console, as its original fender tag, uild sheet, oor sticker, nd virtually 100% complete. Only thing that I can think of that it's missing is the rear valance. The car has never been wrecked, s completely straight, nd has a perfect grill.
This car has been sitting for quite some time, t ran when it was parked, ut then the engine compartment was taken apart to begin the restoration process. The engine is complete and 100% original from oil pan to air cleaner. The body is in great shape, s you can tell by the pictures but it will need some attention in a few areas. The roof needs some patching due to the vinyl roof, here are a few holes in the trunk floor, hole in the drivers side floor, nd the drivers side quarter panel needs patching. I do already have replacement floors purchased for the car, ou can see them sitting on top of the car when its parked in the storage unit, till in the box! The windshield is cracked but I also have a replacement piece of glass for it as well, ts wrapped in the green blanket sitting on top of the hood in the one picture. I also have an RT hood in perfect shape that comes with the car.
This was my plan for this car. Make it a RT/SE Clone. Keep the exterior color dark metallic green, ive it a black hood treatment, nd a black bumble bee stripe across the ass. Redo all the interior in black and put the black vinyl top back on. As for the engine, would want to keep the 383 since its the original engine. I was going to bore and stroke the engine out, ut a set of 915 heads on it, iving it 10.5-1. compression on closed chambered iron heads and 3'' exhaust. With this setup you'd have an original looking 383 (including the heads) easily pushing out 500 HP or more...what a sleeper!
I'm setting the reserve at $11,000 for this car, believe that to be a fair price given how complete the car is, he extra pieces, nd the overall shape of the car. Please contact me with any questions you may have. All sales are final, uyer is responsible for all shipping/handling payments. I can make myself available to help with loading of the vehicle. I require a deposit of $500 via paypal within 48 hours of auction close, nd I request that you accept and pay for Paypals fees. Happy bidding!

I've gotten a few questions that I'd like to address here in my description. The frame rails are in perfect condition, ront and rear, hat's why I took pictures of them. The rockers are in great shape, s well as the majority of the underbody. This car has spent its entire life in Colorado, arid and dry climate, o any rust you see is really just superficial surface rust. If you compare this car to those being advertised in the Midwest, ack East, r down South you'll see this body is in such better shape. I guarantee the engine will run/tranny will work, lthough I would recommend a rebuild with any good restoration effort. The Challenger has a the heavy duty 8 3/4'' rear end. I do have a few more pictures available of the car, uch as pictures of the bottoms of the doors - which show them to be in great condition, tc., If you'd like more pictures taken of specific areas please let me know.
If it wasn't clear in my previous description, he car comes with a factory RT Hood, replacement windshield, nd new floor pans for the drivers side floor. As always keep the questions coming, wantt the buyer to have complete confidence in the car before buying. Thanks again and keep the questions coming!!
As an FYI, had some interest in knowing whether or not this car had a Posi rear end on it. I lifted it this morning and found that it DOES have a Posi rear end. Thank you for your interest!
