Dodge Other Pickups 1950 Description
Very sharp and classic styled Dodge B Series Hot Rod Truck with some serious upgrades. We coveted this Hot Rod truck for well over a year and a half…
This truck is built to the hilt powered by a 440 Big Block (which is nice to find a Dodge on Dodge hot rod truck), cross-drilled disc brakes, tubular A arms and the list goes on. I just want to get it out there, so you have an idea of what you are looking at. This is NOT a Rat Rod that has been thrown together, instead this one has some serious build time and money spent on it. Take a look at the motor compartment it looks like a show truck and the bottom looks like a fresh restoration. With that said….. if this is the type of “wow” show truck you are looking for then please read on.
This Dodge has amazing patina and style and is photographed more then any car I have had pass through my hands lately, and that has been quite a few. You will be photographed, you will be videoed and busses will pull up and honk, open their sliding door and ask you what year it is? What motor are you running? Pull up next to a Lamborghini and he is likely to tell you what a cool ride you have.
Built by a movie car builder as his personal driver and was used for several months to commute in LA traffic. This is not just a truck that just looks cool but is hard to drive. This truck is extremely drivable, doesn't get hot at all and can cruise at highway speeds or in stop and go without any issues, thoughts or cares in the world. I have been around many hot rods and often times they are temperamental, and look better then they drive if you know what I mean, so rest assured this is a truck you can drive to events and enjoy the journey and still smile all the way!
Love the butterfly split hood on this make and model truck... it just really ads that extra touch when you walk over to lift the hood for onlookers! In a nut shell this truck is very solid I can not express enough how much fun this truck is to drive or how much attention it gets.
Custom Built with:
- Strong 440 Big Block
- 3 Speed 727 Automatic Transmission
- Ford 9'' Rearend
- Butterfly Hood
- Cross-Drilled Disc Brakes

- Vintage Recovered Seat
- Re Painted Original Gauges
- Autometer Gauge Set
- Titled as a "1953"
- Custom Door lettering

The overall look of this truck with its Patina and its serious 440 Big Block horsepower really sets it apart from the crowd. Its a Dodge, that is still powered by a Dodge! Please view the photographs and if I haven't answered all of your questions please ask away. As stated it is titled as a 1953 but per the factory original vin number it is a 1950. The title is clean and clear.
History
“The Dodge B Series was considered the most advanced pick-up when they were introduced in1948. It isn't often the find a Hot Rod version of a Dodge available…all to often it Chevy’s and Fords and I must say there is something extremely luring about its butterfly hood that is the icing on the cake. The 48-53 Dodge B-Series trucks were often referred to as “Pilothouse” trucks because of their chair like seating and larger windows offering better visibility. The B Series trucks featured a high-visibility "pilot-house" cab with optional rear quarter windows. The cargo bed sides were made higher to increase capacity by 40% and the redesigned cab could seat three people.” -Wikipedia
